Welcome to one of the internet’s weirdest obsessions. Back in December of 2020, a nurse named Tiffany Dover fainted on camera while she was talking to reporters after getting her first COVID shot. She got right back up and gave another interview, but it was too late. A conspiracy theory was already racing around the world: Dover had died. She’d been replaced by a body double. And an ever-expanding list of conspirators was in on the cover-up, including the drug companies, the hospital, the media, and maybe even the Pope. Tiffany Dover is alive and well, but she’s stayed silent through it all. And now her story has been hijacked by total strangers trying to make people doubt the safety of the COVID vaccine. In this first season of Truthers, a podcast project about misinformation and conspiracy theories, NBC News reporter Brandy Zadrozny sets out to show what’s true and what isn’t—and how one person’s life became a weapon in a global information war.

Do you know anyone who doesn’t feel overwhelmed right now? Laura van Dernoot Lipsky is an internationally renowned trauma expert and bestselling author of Trauma Stewardship and The Age of Overwhelm. She has helped people and systems, for over three decades, find their way through really hard times. In this podcast, we will have conversations about what to do in the face of our overwhelm and how to do it, and we will be guided by listeners’ questions. Each week, Laura and a guest will discuss concrete strategies we can use to mitigate harm, cultivate our ability to bring our A-game to whatever we’re doing (or as close as we can get), and move beyond what can feel like permanent survival mode. Some weeks will be geared more towards adults, and others towards adolescents and anyone who loves, lives, or works with them. Together, we’ll focus on the merits of staying present, not missing out on today, and trying to avoid future tripping. We hope that Future Tripping will offer listeners insight into what is currently overwhelming them and tactical skills for both sustaining themselves and contributing, however much they’d like, to larger systemic and structural change.

From the post-apocalyptic novel After the Virus - A Surviralist's Journal (available on Amazon). When a deadly mutated virus sweeps the globe, survival expert Will Scott knows that his only chance is in the remote Ishi Wilderness, once the domain of “America’s last wild Indian”. He soon finds that surviving the elements is nothing compared to the relentless pursuit of a failed-state militia bent on killing every “surviralist” existing outside of the quarantine zone. When he rescues a teenage girl named Hope, whose family has been slaughtered and trains her in wilderness self-sufficiency, her skills eventually exceed even his. His compassion is repaid when Hope becomes the provider and the warrior needed for them to endure. Told first-person in the style of a daily diary, each episode contains one or more day’s journal entries of nearly 12 months on the run in the wild.

Welcome to the award-winning Stolen Goodbyes with Karen Rice, foreign affairs journalist, and podcaster.

Each week inspiring wives, husbands, partners, children, and newly-weds intimately recount the shock and anguish of death to Covid 19 without warning or goodbye. Each season we push the boundaries to explore, explain and uncover a myriad of aspects of grief to Covid 19.

Forced to grieve in isolation, these people detail needless mistakes and decisions that cost lives including patients being placed on Covid hospital wards when they were Covid-free or others condemned to an early death by the secret use of Do Not Resuscitate forms. Some were left to die alone, the ultimate social taboo.

This unique, legacy podcast is a social history record of the widespread suffering caused by the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020, an infection that changed the world as we know it.

It is also an important space where ordinary yet extraordinary people are remembered and celebrated for everything that made them quintessentially unique and irreplaceable.

The participants of this podcast have bared their souls in a bid to stop their loved ones from being written off as just another statistic when they were much-loved individuals whose premature deaths could help to save others from the same fate while holding those responsible to account.

This Covid 19 podcast helps participants and listeners to come to terms with a grief like no other.

Created, produced, and hosted by Karen Rice, the Stolen Goodbyes podcast won gold in the fiercely competitive Best Lockdown category of the British Podcast Award 2021.

Stolen Goodbyes is described as: "outstanding ethical and trauma-informed journalism. Karen Rice manages to capture a historic event in real time by listening with empathy. Future generations will listen to this podcast and know what it felt like to live through this pandemic." Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma.

A podcast about (b)oldly moving from midlife to old age in a society that devalues old people and/or misunderstands what (b)old age is *really* like. Debbie, who is 72, explores that question in frank 30-minute conversations with best-selling authors, experts, and exceptional individuals. With her guests she delves into the unretired (non-retired) life, ageism, ambition, slowing down (or not), physical deterioration, grandparenting, intergenerational collaboration, grief and widowhood, and more. As well as other stuff that piques her interest such as the craft of writing. She invites her husband, Sam Harrington, on as a frequent guest. He’s a retired physician with a dry sense of humor and he makes her laugh. Debbie and Sam took a grownup gap year at age 61, leaving behind a professional life in Washington D.C. Now in their early 70s, they live a busy and productive "unretired" life on an island off the coast of Maine. Debbie writes for Substack at debbieweil.substack.com. In early 2028 a riot breaks out in lower Manhattan. Triggered by a climate demonstration, it's effects ripple across the country and within days America dissolves into anarchy. Our story tracks six individuals who must find their way to the relative safety of the nearest wilderness and escape the ensuing barbarism and disease. What ignited the contagion of hate and caused all hell to break loose? Who can be trusted? What horrors await them in the forests? How far must they go to find sanctuary? As our six evade death and accept that moral injury is the price of survival, a terrifying mystery is unveiled about the meaning and origins of human existence.
