This election year, our democracy hangs in the balance. We need news coverage that cuts past punditry and gives a voice to the new electorate – the marginalized folks that depend on a functioning democracy. Enter: The Amendment, a new podcast about gender, politics and power from The 19th News and Wonder Media Network, hosted by award-winning journalist and 19th editor-at-large Errin Haines.
Each week, Errin sits down with people who have fresh perspectives on the state of our country – and asks questions that center the voices of women, queer folks, and people of color. The Amendment adds much needed asterisks to America’s most pressing political conversations – and gets clear on the unfinished work of our democracy.

"Fiercely and unapologetically progressive, and definitely NSFW. 'The Professional Left' features award-winning bloggers Driftglass and Blue Gal as they skewer right-wing absurdities and dismantle mainstream media mealy-mouths with razor-sharp wit and zero filter. From mercilessly mocking partisan hacks to elevating stories the media ignores, it's the profane, unflinching political commentary you didn't know you needed. More at http://ProLeftPod.com."

‘If not us, who? If not now, when?’
My name is Zoe Daniel, and I am your community-backed independent candidate for Goldstein in the forthcoming federal election in 2022.In nearly 30 years of reporting, I’ve covered natural disasters, conflict, economics and politics, and all manner of news around the world. I’ve seen first-hand the impact of climate change in the Arctic, and I’ve covered floods, typhoons, and bushfires across four continents, including Australia.I have waited, like many, for our governments to develop costed and structured strategies to safeguard our community and economy, to innovate, and to embrace the immense business and job opportunities that a renewable climate economy presents. In short, to lead.
I’ve found my voice., and I am stepping up to the table.
I invite you to join this movement and allow me to represent you in Federal Parliament. Your Voice is Your Vote, and we should no longer be taken for granted. The next parliament is critical to the future of our children, our environment, our economy, and our planet now and for generations to come.
Let’s make our kids proud of us.

In my book, Locally Grown: The Art of Sustainable Government, I talk about how our country's bottom up design of 20,000 zip codes, 50 states and 1 Federal government, brilliantly distributes power within that bottom-up infrastructure. Our Founders intended most governance to be done locally. And about the inherent dangers of too much centralized power. My book exposes the unsustainability of our government debt and the awful bargain we make when we exchange freedom for security. I introduce readers to Locally Grown principles like sustainability, accountability, the double-bottom line, harnessing excess capacity, simplification, and engaged citizenship. I make the case that returning to our federalist roots through Locally Grown principles is the path to sustainable, effective government that better serves the “Common Good.”
