The best podcasts to jam out to

Who am I?

I love radio, technical mastery, music, comedy, and the combination of all 5 simultaneously and equally i love that oh s*** moment when a new song comes on that's breaking a unique sound I've never heard before just as much as when I hear a song that takes me back to a time in my past, especially because I haven't heard that song since then, just as much as when I hear an old song come on that I've somehow missed in all my years on the planet

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

Based on a number or an upcoming holiday or a capricious whim, I try to give my listeners that same oh s*** moment

What is my podcast playlist about?

Jamming out on the way to work, or on a road trip, or just because it's a Tuesday and what else have you gotta do?

The podcasts I picked and why

1. SquigY0 Plays Whatever The F*** He Wants And There's Nothing You Can Do About It!

Why this podcast?

Cause it's mine, I love my baby, and because I want them to scream "oh s***" at least once an episode

Born in, but finally moved out of, the state of Maryland, DJ_SquigY0 started his Internet DJing career back in the late 90s by setting up his own server, inviting his friends to listen, then DJing for only about 2 minutes because nobody would tune in. In 2004, he got the opportunity to actually have listeners when he signed on as a regular DJ in the Lipstick FM community. Due to internal conflict, that site disbanded in 2005, and Squig continued DJing at one of the break-off sites, Ch00ns until truly finding his real home in 2006 at PARTY FM. His home evicted him in 2017, and he'd been listening to podcasts for a bit at this point, so he figured he could give that a shot as his next chapter.

Roast Beatz has a long history in radio and now as a podcast host. Cutting his teeth on London's infamous pirate radio station Itch FM he went onto HHB online radio. After taking a break for a few years he willingly took on the task of creating the Ghetto Funk podcast. Achieving 12 episodes and 20,000 subscribers things changed a little. Following the birth of Cuttin’ It Fine it organically switched to the Cuttin' It Fine Podcast. Offering monthly slabs of hourly content, showcasing current sounds ranging from Hip Hop to Funk, House to Drum and Bass. Guest DJ’s pop along to keep the vibes different alongside the familiar personality of your host with the most Roast Beatz, bringing his usual up tempo light hearted intro’s and skilled mixes. It’s the only podcast you need to subscribe to.

3. Bluesandgrooves' Podcast

Why this podcast?

It's actually more grooves than blues but Jaff takes his love of David Bowie, soul, funk, and throws in a little prog and garage for good measure and it just works!

5. Off Book: The Improvised Musical

Why this podcast?

One last twist and turn, and Zach & Jess literally make up a musical on the spot. It's ludicrous, it's absurd, it's masterful.
