Whether you're a seasoned player or a curious newcomer, Session Zero is the perfect podcast for anyone interested in exploring the world of RPGs and the ways they can improve our mental health and well-being. So grab your dice, sharpen your pencils, and get ready to roll initiative with Ben and Mike on Session Zero! We grew up playing table-top roleplaying games and love the way these games saved us while growing up. These games were the great escape to the different challenges growing up and hey they're fun also. Ben has been playing ttrpg over 20 years and is currently dm ing a D&D 5e game that Mike is in as a player. In addition Ben is an artist and loves utilizing art in ttrpg settings. Mike has been a therapist for over 15 years and loves utilizing games in therapy with his clients. After one night of late night gaming, Mike asked Ben if he wanted to do a podcast on this subject. And the rest is well...it's occurring right now.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

A therapist and dungeon master talk about table-top roleplaying games and the ways the games impact us therapeutically. This playlist is about ttrpg, and different podcasts that represent different aspects of ttrpg (actual play, commentary, learning about gm ing).

What is my podcast playlist about?

This playlist is about table-top roleplaying games, and while there are plenty to point out that are related to ttrpg podcasts these are about different ones we like for several reasons. We didn't just pick the top ones. We picked ones we've interacted with in different ways.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Becoming a Great GM with Guy Sclanders

Why this podcast?

This is one that talks about how to become a great gm as the title suggests. He's one of the few ttrpg podcasts who discusses how he is running his game vs actual play and gives insight from a gm perspective. So we like that.

Who am I?
I have been playing TTRPGs, game mastering TTRPGs, teaching, making videos, writing books about role playing and being a great GM for many years on our YouTube channel.
I'm honoured to be part of the roleplaying community as its a special one, and being able to contribute to it has always been my ambition. I love feedback, and I will not know all the answers and hope to chat about these in these series and on our videos!
Join me in rolling the dice, and diving into the world of tabletop roleplaying.

2. ZeroDead Podcast

Why this podcast?

First of all, I've spoken with someone from this podcast and he was really cool and very helpful in my journey in twitter. So, much love to these guys. But other than that it's a call of Cthulhu adventure loosely edited in to a delta green mission. It's a very different listen and I think you will enjoy it.
