Who am I?

I am one of the hosts of A Novel Console. I mostly talk about games and break down food descriptions along with my wife. I've been playing video games since I was about 2 or 3 years old and I've never wanted to stop since. I chose this topic because I wanted to talk about games. I thought my wife would find it interesting when I talked about them just like I find her books interesting. In the end if the only thing we get out of it is understanding why we like what we like, that's good enough for us.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

My podcast is about books, games and food. We mostly make fun of and complain about the things we love. It relates in the fact that we connect with these experiences to some degree and they become important parts of who we are.

What is my podcast playlist about?

My podcast playlist is filled with great shows made by even better people. They are wholesome, funny, entertaining, and most of all, full of heart. These are all worth a listen, plus any others on their list as well.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. Pixel Project Radio

Why this podcast?

Are video games deep? Yes. Don't believe me? Listen to an episode of PPR. Rick does an amazing job of explaining the emotional depth of games like not many are able to do. I have yet to listen to an episode I have not liked.

Pixel Project Radio is a video game podcast dedicated to analyzing the games we love. Each week, we play through a videogame and talk about it in a book club format. We summarize the plot beats while also analyzing the themes, discussing the mechanics, and generally talking about what worked and what didn't for us. It's a celebration of all things gaming, and whether you're playing every day or liked games as a kid, we've got something for you.

2. The Unlockables Podcast

Why this podcast?

Eric is charming, funny, insightful and an all around entertaining guy. His Guiding Keys series does an excellent job of explaining the Kingdom Hearts lore, but you're not into that, any of his other episodes are just as entertaining. I highly recommend his Twelve Days of Christmas series.
