Who am I?

I am a streamer, content creator, storyteller, and podcaster! I have been podcasting for a little over a year now, as a way to tell the many stories of the people I meet, as well as my own stories, both experienced and created. Sometimes I pick and poke into someone else's personal experiences, and other times I reveal a piece of myself through the fiction I create. There's a Story here for everyone, so dive on in! I have spent much of my life looking for a way to share the stories I create. Whether that be my own tales or a story I have created for fun, I have been always looking for a way to enrapture an audience in the worlds and experiences of these stories. I'm no published writer or professional on this matter, beyond my own podcasts, but I know a good story when I hear one. All I want to do is share them with you!

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

My related podcast is "Dungeons, Drive-inns, and Dice", where I really have gotten to stretch my long-term storytelling muscles. Our first season, "Delta Dawn" is a story I am truly proud to have told so far, filled with twists, turns and bad jokes. Not only is it a story I craft live as we play a slew of TTRPG's, but it takes place in a universe, almost entirely of my own creation, affected deeply by the decisions made at the table and in the moment. At every twist and turn I am looking for a way to deepen the world around the characters and make the players, and you (the audience), feel a little something along the way.

What is my podcast playlist about?

My playlist is about podcasts with good, gripping stories. Stories that seem to take us out of our own lives and place us into this alternate world for just a little bit at a time. If you're looking to escape the most stressful moments in your day, there's a podcast here to whisk you away.

The podcasts I picked and why

1. The Adventure Zone

Why this podcast?

Not just a list of incredible stories to listen to, but one of my favorite podcasts of all time. Brothers McElroy come together with their father to play Dnd, and a slew of other TTRPG's. and put us on the edge of our seats with story after story. They develop rich worlds, deep characters, and do a great job of providing a throughline to the worlds they create. The first season, Balance, is one of the stories that inspired me to begin telling my own!

2. The Black Tapes

Why this podcast?

The black tapes is a lot more produced audio drama than the above podcasts. An audio journalist comes across a group of tapes all housing recordings of the strange, unexplainable events that one paranormal investigator would rather stay hidden. The journey they go on to uncover the truths behind them is dark, suspenseful, and full of twists and turns. The initial series ran years ago but it's even started back up to continue it's story recently. Great for a spooky, rainy day, or just a day you're looking for a little extra gritty excitement. From start to finish, it's a ride worth taking.
