Mais um episódio com uma convidada internacional! Desde o outro lado do Atlântico, temos hoje connosco a central brasileira Adriani Vilvert.

A nossa primeira convidada ‘pós-pausa’ é a distribuidora nacional Ana Couto.

And we are back to our Portuguese speaking episodes!

I'm heading into the playoffs and it's gonna be a very tight schedule, with games every Thursday and every Sunday.

So today's episode is short and simple: we are taking a small break!

This podcast process has been an amazing ride, and I'll for sure keep working on getting more episodes recorded for you, but I need to save up my energy to try and get a couple of medals (at least!) here in Hungary.

I'll see you all soon!

And here it is guys! We have reached our 20th (!!!) episode, and what better way to celebrate another milestone than with an international guest? And yes, this episode will be 100% in English, but you already know that since the last 2 episodes right?

Our first international guest is... The head coach of the Swiss National Women's team and also head coach of Swiss team NUC: Lauren Bertolacci!

Today you'll hear all about Lauren's career started as a coach, how she sees volleyball development, and how she works hard to create her team culture and get some great results along the process.

Lauren was actually the only female head coach at the latest CEV European Championship, so you can already see from that bit of info that unfortunately we don't have many women in these spots. And I just think it makes an even greater reason for you to get right into this episode!

To follow Lauren's volleyball journey and all the work she is accomplishing (not only for Swiss volleyball, but for all women in sports), you can find her on Instagram @laurenberto and give her a follow!

And don't forget, you don't have to be shy around here, so come and share your thoughts on the comment section! I would also really appreciate to have your opinion on the voting section too (5 stars if it’s not too much to ask eheh!).

If you’d like a bonus communication platform, I’m on Instagram @martahurst and I read every message, so I’ll hear you out for sure. And I really love all your feedbacks, so keep them coming!

Welcome to 2024 everyone!

We are starting this year with an episode that you guys showed a lot of interest in: my coaching career.

Today I talk about how I had to juggle my role as a semi-professional player plus working as a coach in Portugal, and also some of my coaching experiences abroad.

You'll also be surprised to hear that I coached a men's team for a while, but I won't say much more about it, you'll have to give this episode a listen!

As always, thank you so much for all your support and feedbacks, it's been great to have you reach out to me. I truly appreciate it! Don’t be shy and share your thoughts on the comment section! I would really appreciate to have your opinion on the voting section too (5 stars if it’s not too much to ask eheh!).

If you’d like a bonus communication platform, I’m on Instagram @martahurst and I read every message, so I’ll hear you out for sure.

Welcome to our first ever Christmas Special! This was a very fun episode for me to record, so I'm not gonna give you too many spoilers about it, you'll just have to listen to it from start to finish ahahah! Usually I prepare a script for my episodes so I have some sort of guidelines and there's a 'path' for the conversation to follow, but for this episode I wanted you guys to experience a more random flow of things. I hope you enjoy this style of episode, and let me know if you would like me to develop some of the themes of today's episode.

Get ready for your last guest episode before Christmas! Today you’ll be able to hear about Maria’s growth as a player throughout her career, and how she was (and still is!) able to juggle her student life with her professional athlete life. We also talked about how Maria handles her responsabilities in different team environments and how her mind has to shift when she plays opposite or outside hitter. It was great to have such an open conversation about the joys and struggles of the growth of a young volleyball player, not only inside the clubs she represented, but also at a National Team level. To follow Maria’s volleyball journey, you can search her Instagram handle @mariareislopes and give her a follow!

Lots of volleyball players imagine what it would be like to play in a different position on the court. Setters always want to be spikers, spikers want to be liberos, middles want to be outsides... Well on today’s episode you can actually hear about my own experience about playing a new and different volleyball role! This episode is full of learning experiences not only about technical volleyball things, but also a lot about how I mentally struggled and evolved on my first season in the German Bundesliga.

Another great guest here at ‘2 PointDifference’, since Aline Timm is one of the most experienced Portuguese players around so get ready to learn a lot! On this episode we talked about the differences between Brazil and Portugal regarding the support both countries give to volleyball. Aline also shared some of her experiences with discrimination and how she manages to share not only her life with her partner (spoiler alert: they are also teammates!). Hope you enjoyed getting to know a bit more of another great Portuguese player. If you want to follow Aline’s journey but didn’t quite catch the social media handle it’s: @timm_line. Don’t be shy and share your thoughts on the comment section! I would really appreciate to have your opinion on the voting section too (5 stars if it’s not too much to ask eheh!).
