A wrestling podcast that's a mixture of the modern product and old school memories! I've been watching wrestling for 40+years but I'm a fan of all eras. This podcast will give fair and balanced opinions, welcome guest hosts, revisit classic timelines like the Monday Night War, and provide analysis of what is and isn't working with the modern product. Most of all I promise to have fun along the way! If you want to hear someone who has a passion for wrestling you've come to the right place!

Why did you start this show?

July 2021!

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

First, I hope they have a lot of fun and get a few laughs during each episode! But I also hope that people get motivated to watch old school wrestling by my passion for wrestling. I am not just trying to give my opinion, I'm trying to help educate people on why wrestling is an art form. I'm hoping my analysis of wrestling will help people understand the true psychology of what they see on their TV.

Which episode should someone start with?

Since we have switched from covering the modern product to a focusing on the Monday Night War between WCW and WWF I would suggest starting with Episode 90 - A New Year, A New Direction https://goodpods.app.link/mYk2Jx3Nezb But please, don't let that stop you from visiting all our older episodes as well!

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

Honestly it's hard to pick a favourite episode because that's like picking your favourite child right?! Which episode are you most proud of?

I'm truly proud of them all! Putting yourself out there to the listening universe is a lot harder than people think so every time a new episode goes out I'm proud of what I have accomplished.

What is your vision for your show?

I want to entertain people every episode and help them spark that love of wrestling that I have enjoyed since I was six years old! Along the way I hope to make many new friends that are just as passionate about the product as I am. If I could make a full time living out of it that would be a dream come true!

I have many favourite podcasts I love to listen to every week. How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

I had always been thinking of a few names and my wife asked what I wanted it to be about and I said "no B.S., just our opinions and the truth about the product we are watching" and she said why don't you incorporate truth into the name. Wrestling With The Truth means you are trying to deal with the difficult truth and that's what we were doing knowing we could get some heat for it. Now that we have switched to the Monday Night War it seemed logical to tweak the name to Wrestling With The War.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I have been a wrestling fan since the early '80s! My grandmother got me into wrestling as a child and I have always loved the storylines and the larger than life characters. I was hooked immediately and have been studying the history, characters and psychology of professional wrestling ever since. I'm hopeful that passion shines through each and every episode!
