Hey Uncommon leaders, welcome back! I have a very, very special and lovely guest to introduce to you today. I have known her for 30+ years and she has had a VERY positive influence on my life. Today, I interview my wife, Chris Gallagher! While there are many topics we could discuss, on this episode we chat about a book we both recently read, The Coffee Bean – A Simple Lesson to Create Positive Change, written by Damon West and Jon Gordon. I came across this book after listening to a recent interview with Damon West on the Ed Mylett podcast... THAT was impactful. Be sure stick around to the end of the podcast. I would love to share a copy of the book with some listeners and I will let you know how to get a copy.

There is no doubt that the story of the Coffee Bean had an impact on Chris and me. We both know that it will you as well. Let’s summarize the spirit of the Coffee Bean:

o Life is difficult. It can be harsh, stressful, and feel like a pot of boiling water. The environments we find ourselves in can change, weaken, or harden us, and test who we truly are. WE have a choice...

o We can be like the carrot that softens or weakens in the pot

o We be like the egg that hardens

o OR, we can be like the coffee bean and discover the power inside ourselves to transform our environment!

I know which one I want to be and I am pretty sure you can tell by her story that Chris wants to be a Coffee Bean, too!

Link to the podcast episode with Ed Mylett - Damon shares the original coffee bean story and introduces you to Mr. Jackson.
If you enjoyed the Uncommon Leader Podcast today, I would appreciate you sharing it with others.

Until next time eat healthy, read more, and Grow Champions AND be a COFFEE BEAN

Hey Uncommon leaders, welcome back!

What an inspirational and encouraging guest for today's episode! Chris Welton is a Certified Mortgage Planner in Lake Mary, FL, but he is SO much more that. Be sure to have your pen and notebooks ready as Chris drops all kinds of powerful words of wisdom, hope and faith for us to learn from

Chris is one Uncommon leader and person. His ability to go toward adversity and “become a better person on the other side of that adversity” is one that many of us can learn from today. Give Chris a follow on Instagram (@onehandatatime) You will not be disappointed.

Hey Uncommon leaders, welcome back!

My guest today is Patty O Hamilton. You may recall that Patty was a guest way back in the first season of the Uncommon Leader Podcast. First, I can’t believe how fast time is going, but more importantly, in that episode, Patty and I discussed her journey to become a first time author . Well, it’s official! I now get the chance to interview author, Patty O Hamilton about her newly released book, Managing to Become Leaders – What Opossum babies taught my team about leading. You heard me right... opossum babies. So, listen in for some best practices and experiences from her book as well as to learn if the opossum babies’ stories REALLY happened!!

I am so happy for Patty for publishing her first book. I love that she directed this book at FRONT LINE leaders. Ones who are often overlooked on the leadership journey. And I loved her sharing her journey through first time authorship and that she didn’t choose to write the book... It chose her.

Be sure to listen to the entire episode to see how you can get a copy of her new book sent directly to you!
