The Break Free Podcast - The COST of Fear

The COST of Fear

04/25/22 • 10 min

The Break Free Podcast

Fear is something we all experience but what we don't realize is that every time we let fear win, it costs us TIME and a chance at the life we deserve.

The book I recommend reading is called Fear is my homeboy by Judi Holler and can be ordered here on amazon.

Instead of sitting on the sidelines letting life pass you by because you are worried about what if, let's let that fear fuel us and move us in the direction we want to go.

Give yourself GRACE- Explicit

We are SO hard on ourselves. Always expecting perfection- but what we don't realize is that our expectations need to change with circumstances. In this episode I talk through some personal struggles I've been working on giving myself grace for and how you can start practicing yourself!

Life is too short, are you making the most out of today?

We are living on borrowed time, all of us. What are you doing about it?

I want to first start by prefacing this with the fact that I personally believe in working hard, dreaming big and taking action on your goals and that good things come to those who put in the work.

Each one of us have a different view and perspective and that is absolutely okay but I want to share this in hopes that it might help you start to question what is important to you and encourage you explore that deeper.

We have fallen into this trap of working our butt off until we can retire in HOPES that we will have a good maybe 15 years to enjoy the fruits of our labor and for many of us that means after our children have gone off to college and are already raising their family/living their life.

But as someone who has experienced a lot of loss especially losing my dad at 58, I find myslf really having a hard time getting behind the fact that we are wasting a lot of time living for someone else. Don’t get me wrong- I know we need money to make the world go round but what is the point of having all this money if by the time you can really do something cool with it, you’ve missed out on the people and the opportunity to it in a meaningful way.
