Panther energy in poetry

Tea and Tombstones

This episode is a little different. In my Introductory (first) episode, I mentioned that I really wanted to find a way to showcase poetry on the podcast. I have been sitting and sitting, thinking of a way to go about this with authenticity. It took pulling a card (as it usually does) for me to see where and how I could bring this idea forward.
This episode is all about Panther energy. First, I will be sharing the poem "Pursuit" by Sylvia Plath and then share and showcase how this powerful, and challenging, energy of the Panther comes forward.
**Trigger Warning** This poem does have elements of both a sexual and violent nature. If you do not wish to hear the poem, skip ahead to the 8:00 minute mark
This energy can be useful and vital for entering a new year, and purging ourselves from such a challenging and emotionally-heightened year. Please leave a review and feedback if you like this type of podcast episode. I wish you all many blessings and abundance. See you in 2021.

In this episode we conclude the monthly cards of 2020 with intensity and ferocity. The Knight of Swords and the Mirror present challenges, bargaining us into the spaces of perception, reflection, and self-love and truth as revolution without much wiggle room. This intense merging may have you feeling exposed, judged, in need of rest. These cards are inviting you to take in your strength to endure these energies.

In this episode, I wanted to take the podcast back to the sweet and simple, back to the heart of what I do, which is pulling cards. This beautiful deck was gifted to me by a dear friend, and I have grown to love this deck, and cherish it's invitations. With beautiful artwork by Kate O'Hara and 36 botanicals with spiritual guidance and physical rituals written by best-selling author and herbalist Maia Toll, this deck is so sweet and wonderful for beginner and advanced herbal / deck lovers.
I also discuss how this deck asks us to explore our own healing ownership, how we can tend the charges of plant and world wounding, and redefine what it means to be in need of healing without feeling like we are broken in body and spirit. If you like this episode, please consider leaving an honest review so more people can see and find my work. Thank you so much haunting.

For November, our monthly cards are the 10 of Pentacles and Aletheia (the personified spirit of truth, sincerity, and unconcealedness). These cards actively invite and engage us to deepen our perspective of the journey we have walked to this point, and how we can cross the intersection with awareness to what has come before so we can offering ourselves spiritually and physically to the future. They invite us to move towards of space of the light, removing some of the aspects that kept us hidden. Let me know what you think of these cards. I hope this episode helps expand something for you. Take care.

This episode explores, confronts, and engages the complex and loaded nature of Judgement and Thanatos (the Greek God or spirit of Death). These two cards pull us into spaces that challenge us, put obstacles in front of us, and yet, their energy is what gives breath to each day. There is an ambivalence to these cards, and to how they ask, or force us to move. As we move, we gain wisdom, grief at what once was, and gratitude for the ways we vibrate higher, with more compassion and service. Please let me know what you think of these cards! My blessings to you, dear hauntings.

In this episode, we are discussing the form of magick known as Glamour Magick. This form of magick is seen in folklore with the stories of Changelings, faery babies disguised as and switched with human babies. Today, Glamour Magick is often related to the physical body and appearance. It is that, and also so much more. The heart of Glamour Magick is building your landscape, both internal and external, through intention and truth. Some of the articles that I used to help build out my own research and understanding of Glamour Magick can be found below. Thank you for listening!

The archetype of the Queen

Tea and Tombstones

play

09/22/20 • 49 min

In this episode, we discuss the monthly archetype card for September which is the Queen. The Queen invites us to expand and contain, to be the river or road that connects all things. This energy is not always easy, but it is damn beautiful. Please email me at [email protected] with questions or comments.

In this episode, we discuss and look at the method of imagination and play as a way to deepen, strengthen, support, and nourish our intuitive voice. Imagination and play allow us to craft and conjure what is otherworldly, what is beyond. This practice transfers to our intuitive voice because the intuitive rests in the otherworldly, in the beyond the here and now. Imagination and play also create a a sense of belonging and move us past the ego, who needs practicality and probability to co-create.
I am not the only one who is speaking to this topic. Check out:

The monthly cards are here, pulled from the Dragon Tarot deck and the Oracle of the Dragonfae deck. Taking a closer look into these cards, the narrative opens on key themes, such as sacred reciprocity, divine calibration, wise counsel as a guiding instruction, magickal and natural law, karmic residue, underworld initiations, and more.
These themes help reveal how everything impacts everything, and how the Lovers (not a card of romantic relationships) speaks to deepening us through wisdom and the responsibility of choice into aligning with our particular pursuits and higher alignment.
