Merry Christmas to all! Our gift to you this year is nearly a full hour of shit-talking on CATS.
But even still, if you're asking yourself the question, "Is CATS good?" then you're asking yourself the wrong question.
CATS is in a league of its own. Matt and Andrew finally dedicate the whole episode to our dear litter of Jellicle cats in all their furry, existential, and oddly sexual glory. CATS is probably as terrible as you've heard, yet the strong public discourse with this one doesn't prevent our hosts from debating the best songs, the worst CGI, and the most bizarre feature about the movie that outdoes itself with every frame.
STEP AND REPEAT is a movie and awards season podcast where your co-hosts Andrew and Matt cover the big news in the movie world and share their reviews of new releases.

"Bombshell" (Episode 17)
Matt and Andrew contradict themselves a lot in this episode decided to the Fox News sexual harassment dramedy BOMBSHELL. On one occasion, Matt says Nicole Kidman is the best actress in the movie and that she was also miscast. And Andrew declares "Gretchen should have been the main character" and then screams "Kayla should have been the main character" a good 10 minutes later.
In our defense, BOMBSHELL is a tough nut to crack. There's no film really like it out there now (for better or for worse). And we admit this is a tough one. So tune in to find out what makes this one stand out from the crowd.

"Little Women" (Episode 19)
Americans have been debating Little Women for over 150 years and the conversation continues in the latest episode. Matt and Andrew go deep in Great Gerwig's ("Lady Bird") latest adaptation, in theaters now. Take a listen to find out what they thought of the time jumps, Florence Pugh playing a 12-year-old, and the very different ending from Louisa May Alcott's original.
Also the question that has been on everyone's mind: which Little Women character are you? Andrew and Matt identify if they see themselves as a Meg, Jo, Beth, or Amy. And even though the book was literally first published in 1868, we're giving you a spoiler-free and spoiler-filled segment anyways. (See timestamps below.) But if you've managed to avoid spoilers this far into your life, congratulations!
Last but not least, Andrew and Matt kick off the episode with the latest listener question about bad movies with horrible ratings. What did our hosts think was the worst of 2019? Tune in for the answer!
