Plainly Down A Rabbit Hole
Jane Pearce
Plainly Down A Rabbit Hole is a half hour programme for anyone who is curious about science, arts, philosophy and enjoys a wide variety of music. Curated and hosted by Jane Pearce. Born and brought up in England, Jane lived in Melbourne, before moving to Christchurch over twenty years ago. Experience as a general and psychiatric nurse, she completed a counselling course while bringing up her son. With an enduring love of listening to many musical genres, being an occasional volunteer usher at our wonderful new concert venue - The Piano - is a treat. She gets her hands dirty doing sculpture, printmaking and gardening. A keen interest in learning (science, psychology, social issues, etc.) has been stymied by being dyslexic, but the boom in audio books, internet podcasts and computer read text has been enormously beneficial. Two tangible recent endeavours have resulted. Enabling easier exploration of philosophy, Jane discovered Stoicism and founded a local Stoic group. Furthermore, she has decided to share her enthusiasm for diverse subjects with the 'Plainly Down A Rabbit Hole' podcast on Plains FM. Broadcast Saturdays fortnightly at 4pm
