Welcome to episode 98 of the People’s History of Ideas podcast.
We have spent the last three episodes talking about how Mao articulated what he had learned about conducting a revolution in rural China in the wake of the August Defeat of 1928. In the document that we looked at in those episodes, it was my aim that we would get a concrete idea about Mao’s learning process during the period from the Autumn Harvest Uprising of 1927 through the reconquest of the Jinggangshan by his forces
