Pause and Play it Forward is a podcast by Nicola Greenbrook and Rosie Kendrick about music — old and new — and how it makes us feel. If you are a time stretched music lover that needs a recommendation for what to listen to next, then this is for you! Pause and Play it Forward starts with Music Club - like book club but with albums. We review 2 albums, old or new, one suggested by Nicola and the other by Rosie. Then there's a themed Top 5. We come up with a subject and choose five songs each that fit within that theme, and from these 10 songs decide on an ultimate Top 5 for that week. During the podcast we are sure you'll make new discoveries, learn a few facts and be reminded of memories along the way.

We start with Music Club - a bit like book club but less wine (and with albums) this week we listened to Hope Downs by Melbourne band Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and a new album called Three Dimensions Deep from Amber Marks, a soulful US-based songstress. Our Top 5 this week is obsessed with babies. More to the point, songs with baby in the lyrics and unsurprisingly there are loads - we reckon about 13 million will spring to mind immediately for you. We have given birth to (get it?) the ultimate top 5 and it doesn't need its nappy changing.

Electric Light Orchestra dominated Music Club this week with one of their best of albums: All Over The World. Both of us felt like it fed our soul and filled us with joy.

The other album we listened to was Yellow by Emma-Jean Thackray which we think lost out a little bit because of our affection for ELO.

Our Top 5 theme was Jealousy. We were asked to compile this by Rosie's daughter Libby, whose current favourite song is about being jealous - and it was a cracker! We know we have missed loads so if you can think of any please do let us know!
