Why did you start this show?
Hey! We're two sisters (by marriage) who are obsessed with the art of storytelling. Join us as we talk about what makes a good story both in fiction generally and in tabletop RPGs.
What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?
We know how busy everyday lives can be and we hope listeners come to us for quick tips, easy guides, and inspirational ideas so when they finally do get a chance to sit down and play a TTRPG or D&D game, they get the most out of it!

We hope to do more interviews in the future, and deep dive into nuances of playing TTRPG to help either new players or veteran ones looking for inspiration.

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?
We're "Out of Initiative" meaning we're not currently in combat so its the downtime to roleplay, learn skills, and generally enjoy.
Tell us a bit about yourself
Morgan aka EnviousMango lives in Washington state with her spouse and a very spoiled cat. She thrives with mid-session improv or coming up with a super fast one shots. Sarah is a fantasy and sci-fi author for teens and children, as well as co-host of Out of Initiative podcast. She lives with her spouse, two children on a mini-farm in Washington state.
