This damn good conversation might go down in One Percent Better history as the episode that enhanced the direction of the podcast forever.

In it, @The CoolestCool(Ross Simmonds) lays out an argument stating that I (and many of you) already have enough content for the next 365 days.

It's the distribution that is broken, he claims.

If you have ever been afraid to promote your work, this conversation is for you.

If you have ever wondered why no one is seeing your content, this conversation is for you.

If you have ever felt strange about marketing yourself, this conversation is for you.

I cannot remember a conversation that has made me rethink my creative work more than this one, and I hope it transforms you as well.

As 2021 comes to a close, I want to remind you of three ways we can work together in early 2022.

1. THIS is the course I poured my heart and soul into. It's the best course on the internet on asking damn good questions.

2. If you are thirsty for more, I am currently taking on a limited amount of spots for one-on-one coaching. Head HERE if you are curious.

3. Just after the New Year, I will be launching a highly exclusive, highly selective, group coaching circle. Applications are open now. Head HERE to tell me why you would be a great fit in this circle. This group will be kept SMALL & AMAZING. So far, a storyteller and performer from Melbourne, Australia and an incredible salesman from Louisiana are committed. Are you next? Let me know HERE.

As always, thanks for listening to Episode 209!

Today I discuss the importance of style. For so long we have been told that everyone has his or her own style. While true, this style does not come naturally. Today's episode challenges you tap into your self-awareness in order to identify the mindset, language, and behavior of your personal style.

Visit my website to learn more about my style, or to let me know if I can help you in any way.

Thank you for listening.

This week I share a damn good conversation hosted by someone else.

Brian Levenson recently invited me on his podcast, Intentional Performers. Today I present that conversation to you.

If you find Brian's work here that would bring me joy. If you learn more about my mission through Brian's questions, that's great too.

I love being a guest on great podcasts, so if you host one, reach out if you think I could bring value to your listeners. It would be an honor. [email protected]

Last thing: I am launching a Damn Good Conversations Coaching Community.

We will begin our work and play together around Valentine's Day.

I am capping the group at 10 amazing people who want to transform their communication skills while connecting with podcasters, authors, and professionals all over the world.

It's happening.

Reach out HERE if I should reserve a spot for you.

As always, thanks for listening!

One Percent Better - Ep. 163: How to Ask High-Velocity Questions
play

12/06/20 • 16 min

Here's the survey I mentioned at the top of the show. It will take fewer than 2 minutes. Ty!

Today's episode aims to help you ask better questions.

Those questions lead to better conversations.

You do not need to yearn to start a podcast to see tremendous value in having damn good conversations.

Great conversations help us connect. They helps us lead our teams. They help us earn more money.

One of my favorite types of questions is what I have named high-velocity questions.

That idea was shared this week on a newsletter reaching 25,000 people. Check this out.

This technique will help make your conversations 1% better.

Keep me posted.

As always, thanks for listening!

One Percent Better - Ep. 193: 1460 Days Getting 1% Better
play

07/18/21 • 10 min

Last week I received this LinkedIn message:

Former Student-Athlete: "This is some accomplishment. Make sure to stop for a second today and appreciate this."

Me: "Wow! It never even crossed my mind. Is that bad??"

Former Student-Athlete: "I don’t think it’s bad per se but I definitely think you need to take a second to appreciate and reflect on what you’ve been able to accomplish in 4 years on this project! Average podcast lasts what? 5 episodes?"

He was talking about me producing the podcast for 4 years.

I missed the anniversary.

I was working on the business, not just in the business.

I was enjoying the process of creating a podcast, not just the product.

The can be cliches or they can be true. Or both.

What project are you willing to dive into for the next 1460 days?

Tell me here.

What project are you willing to work so hard on that you miss the anniversary?

Tell me here.

What project would you launch if only someone gave you permission?

Ask me here.

What project are you proud of?

Brag in private here.

I love creating this podcast with you.

Thank you for your support!

And as always, thanks for listening.

See you next week for another Damn Good Conversation!
