#4 Spilled Perfume-Divine Delay
No More Running:
04/01/23 • 11 min
Spilled Perfume, GREAT, now I'm going to be delayed. This was supposed to be an easy Friday morning, an easy kind of day. Now I'm running late but not to late to stop and get breakfast. I drive like a mad crazy women-who loves Jesus I might add. I end up running over the curb in the drive through. Normally I like to think that I'm a good driver. But I was struggling and I confused to the nice kind lady in the drive through that I was struggling and she too shared she had a rough morning, the tea bag had busted and went everywhere. She had a mess to clean up. I prayed Lord Jesus be with us both. I finally made it to work and before going in I stopped and asked the Lord. Who is at work here? Show me who is at work? I thought for sure the struggles I was facing this morning was all Satan's doing, his evil plan. I continue on into work and I decide I was going to take the elevate instead of the stairs as I always did. Then I run into my friend who also was struggling this morning. Again, I thought Satan is at work not just with me but with my friend. We ended up going to lunch together and having the best time. I love our friendship so much. This day, God showed me that this morning the spilled perfume was a divine delay, it was on purpose that this happened. I was meant to be late this morning. I was supposed to struggle. I was meant to run into my dear sweet friend. We both needed each other this day. Has something like this happened to you and you found yourself delayed. Have you ever wondered, why did this happen this morning, this day? Why, why, why Lord? I encourage you the next time you are running late, ask the Lord who is at work? Show me who is at work here? Are you willing to be delayed so that you can be used by God? Do you dare pray God inconvenience my morning or my entire day or even my life for your purpose and your plan? Remember friend God's purpose prevails. Prov. 19:21. Ok God whatever you have planned for me that's what I want. I surrender, No More Running.!!!
I'm excited to share there is a change coming to the podcast and can't wait to share with you my friends. Keep listening!!! Your welcome to visit my website www.crystalloyd.com to learn more about me and my story.

I have some plans for 2024, goals, new year’s resolutions, whatever you want to call them. Have you made any plans for 2024? I have been guilty of leaving God out completely. Making my own plans then asking God to get on board with them and to bless and show his favor on them, my plans, not God's plan.
Before going into more of 2024, Stop and Ask God what is his details for your life, work, marriage, family, podcast, business ect.... What are the plans that you want to share with me? And when you share those with me, I pray I walk (not run) those out down to the very smallest of details. God give me wisdom and disciple to make those plans so.
God gave Noah the details on how to build the Ark "This is how you are to build it" Gen. 6:15 Crystal gives you 3 reasons why God gave Noah the details on how to build the Ark. Gen. 6:8&9
Crystal gives us a prayer to pray for our 2024 and if you would like that prayer email her at [email protected] and she will send that right over.
And don't just listen—run on over and join the No More Running email list and share a five-star podcast review.

#3 Robin Henson
No More Running:
03/04/23 • 36 min
Have you ever struggled with depression and anxiety? Robin our guest today grew up in an unstable home and struggled a lot with depression and anxiety as a child, as a teenage and into adulthood. At an early age she shut down emotionally didn't talk about how she was feeling which led her into a life of turmoil. Robin tried so hard to be good enough, good enough for God, good enough for God’s people, good enough in her own eyes, feeling like she couldn’t live up to people and their expectations. But now realizes that she doesn’t have to be good enough. God loves her right where she is and for who she is. But her story doesn’t stop here. Robin goes on a mission trip and falls in love with a sweet little girl that no one wanted. She feels the call to adopt her and bring her into her family. She struggles for 3 1⁄2 years to bring her home. And while in Mexico several things happen and the events that took place causes her some trauma and sent into a deep depression and struggling with anxiety yet again in her life. Robin was desperate to find help with her trauma, depression, and anxiety. She wanted so much to be better, to get better for herself, for her family. She reaches out for help and her doctor suggested she tries ECT treatments. Hoping things would get better but things only got worse, so much worse. As a result of these treatments she lost years of memory. And she lost cognitive abilities as well. ECT took her life from her, from her husband, from her family, and from her adopt daughter. She now warns others of Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and what it did in her life. She knows that she needs help and reaches out to the leaders of the church that her and her family attended and wasn’t received well or didn’t even response to her or her family’s cries for help. They have experienced hurt within the church and pulls away from everyone and isolates in fear of being hurt again. However, Robin choices to forgive. Robin had to make some hard decisions for herself, for her family and for her adopted daughter. Realizing that this will be the hardest decision of her life. But knowing that this is what is best she finds her adopted daughter a new home. And knowing now that God used her and her family as a bridge for this sweet girl to be connected to her new home and family. God has brought Robin through so much pain, hurt, depression and anxiety. She believes God’s word in Psalm 138:3, when I called, you answered me because God was there helping her and never left her alone and carried her through it all. She is on her way to healing and sharing her story in hopes to help others in this journey we call life.

#37 The fatal look back, Why Lot's wife looked back
No More Running:
03/15/25 • 39 min
Genesis 19:26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
This verse reminds us not to look back. It cost Lot’s wife everything, her very own life. Now, let’s look at examples of what Lot’s wife was possibly looking back on and maybe not wanting to let go of. The Bible does not provide exact details about her thoughts, but these possibilities can help us understand why she might have looked back and how it reflects our own tendencies to hold on to the past.
Her home, her belongings, the things that filled her home. We get attached to material things, finding it hard to leave behind the comfort and familiarity of her environment. Community connections, leaving behind relationships, her friends, her best friend, strong social ties (well known in this community, well liked in this community). Maybe she feared, could I even build any friendships somewhere else or better friendships that I had there. The list can go on and on.
*If God tells you to get out, you better get out. If God tells you to go you better go. If it’s a home, if it’s a town, if it’s a job, if it’s a relationship, if it’s a church, if it’s a ministry, you better go, get out. And don't look back.
***Prayer-God I admit that I have looked back to places in my life because of cherished memories and experiences. I got stuck there, like a hamster wheel, going nowhere just looking back. I was thinking that was the best of the best. Thinking that’s all you had for me. That’s all I was going to have, were those memories and those experiences and there wasn’t anything better ahead for me and my family, but I was wrong. You have given me new memories, new experiences, a new beginning. Isaiah 43:18-19, See, I am doing a new thing!

#22 Pain: Catalyst for Change and Growth
No More Running:
10/14/23 • 24 min
In today's episode, we're talking about pain – the physical suffering and discomfort we experience in life. When we feel pain, we often want to run away, especially if it comes from an abusive relationship. In such cases, it's important to seek help and get out.
Sometimes, pain can make us withdraw from God, our loved ones, and even positive experiences. It causes us to protect ourselves. We may wish to avoid pain altogether, but it's a part of life. Instead of praying for it to go away, we can pray for strength to endure it and take steps towards healing.
Even in our pain and hurt, God is at work. We may have experienced pain without feeling His presence, but we want to grow stronger in faith and have Him with us through tough times.
Sometimes, pain results from our own choices, like Jonah in the Bible. It can be a wake-up call for positive changes in our lives.
Pain can also be a good thing. It prompts us to take action and make necessary changes. Being grateful for the lessons we learn through pain can lead to personal growth and stronger relationships.
Ultimately, pain can lead to heart changes, better health, career improvements, a more positive mindset, and stronger family bonds. Embracing pain as a path to growth helps us navigate life's challenges with thankfulness.
God promises in Exodus 3:17, Friends if you will quit running, I will help you and bring you to a land flowing with milk and honey.
And don't just listen—run on over and join the No More Running email list and share your thoughts with a podcast review.

#13 Sandra Jones
No More Running:
07/01/23 • 33 min
On today's episode our guest is Sandra Jones from Commerce, Texas. Sandra is the owner operator of J Designs in Brashear, Texas. Sandra and I met through our friend Jackie Hayden. Sandra is a busy women, she is involved in so many ministries; jail ministry, prison ministry, street ministry, speaking events sharing her story of sexual abuse, failed marriages and wanted her life to be over. She could relate to the women who was abused, who have commented adulty, who drank alcohol, lying, thieving this is the woman that Sandra was in her past. She found herself pregnant at the age of 16 and by 32 years of age she had been through 3 failed marriages she had put herself in a self-inflicted prison and thought she couldn't do this life anymore then she found herself with a gun in her hand, screaming out and this is where God found her. God told her I can heal you. She then had to start the process of forgiveness and being honest with her children and sharing her past with her husband. God told Sandra; I have much plan for you. God had to break her to be able to pick her back up. She no longer carries the titles of abused, adulty, thieving, liar. God has given her new titles; a daughter, sister, mother, wife, minister, grandmother, founder of a ministry, a daughter of the most high God. She is now 65 years old, and God is opening doors of opportunity to share her story. She encourages all women to open their hearts and let God break those chains in their life. She loves the verse 2 Cor. 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!
