Mom's Adventure Paradox

Mom's Adventure Paradox

Cat Caldwell Myers

Welcome to the show that empowers you to choose your own adventure in motherhood! Your host, Cat Caldwell Myers, certified coach and CEO of The Adventure Paradox, shares minisodes about her work with animals, children, and podcasting itself. When we aren't dropping minisodes, we deliver life changing interviews with special guests.
Each conversation will bring you ever closer to the adventure that is seeking you, inside your soul, regardless of your current circumstances (the paradox). Many have forgotten that the adventure is NOW - wherever we are, whatever is happening, and whoever we do it with, as much as it is all that we have done and all that we will do. Animals and nature help us do this, as do connecting with teachers and the principles of adventure.
We focus on goals and the realities that often keep us from attaining them, learning to master both in the fullness of "THE Adventure Paradox." Entrepreneurial Mothers, Caretakers and Women who crave elevated relationships and love animals and nature, will especially resonate with our message, community and offerings.
We offer writing and podcasting services to teach professionals how to get in to the top 3% of podcasts, publish a bestseller, find their voice and launch their purpose from anywhere in the world. Please add our show to your library and share a review screenshot with us for a free gift!

Mom's Adventure Paradox - You Are Not Responsible for the Wind
play

03/02/23 • 14 min

It is so easy to think that everything is our responsibility, or somehow under our control or ability to respond. Some things just come up, or show up, or wind up (pun intended) in our path, like the wind. We are not responsible for the wind and cannot control what it picks up. Perhaps this is why we are so taken in with air: hahha.
In this episode, I reflect on The Rocky Mountain Horse Expo, Breyer West, the meditation of painting horses with your family and what our souls really came here for. It is through these kinds of reflections and activities that we grow closer as a family, and that is how I think of this community of listeners that is growing: as a family. This is why I am launching my virtual community and would like to invite you to join me.
The HAAH Community (HAAH: Healthy as a Horse) meets on the first of every month for a LIVE Zoom call. We do exercise reflecting on the last month of episodes from the podcast and the wisdom that comes from them with special guests. Throughout the month, you will receive a few secret notifications and invitations to attend our guest interviews live with advanced notice. Email me if you are interested in joining our community which is just $50/month, or click the link below:

Also, I have very exciting news: I am getting my book out this spring!! Yup - you heard it. Just in time for our next season of family horse road trips, and we would love to have your support. Right now we are running a Spring Special which includes 5 months of HAAH ($250), the pre-sale on my book ($50 - includes VIP launch party) and a Soul Coaching Package ($300) for $555 - this special saves you $45. My husband, best friend, and adventure partner joins me to download some of the highlights and lowlights fro our first fourteen days living out of an LQ (Living Quarters) horse trailer. Of note, there is a lot of toilet humor in this one, and losing an animal, but thank God that story has a happy ending. We have decided to literally "flush out" our stories every week or so as we head West this summer
Here are three takeaways from this episode:
1) Count your Flock before you move and make sure they're ALL IN
2) Get More Help cleaning your RV toilet out for the Second Time
3) The Higher the Humidity, the Slower Your Thinker Will Be
and... three things to keep you going down the road:
1) The Miracle may come in the next five minutes, just wait!
2) Today's horror could be tomorrow's humor, just wait for it!
3) Always trust that the best is yet to come, and go where you'll grow!

Do you know there are 3 blocks that stop people from podcasting? I’m pulling back the curtain on something HUGE. What if I told you there are just three things silently holding you back from living your best life—and no one’s talking about them? And here’s the kicker: you probably don’t even realize they’re there.

I see it all the time—clients, fellow podcasters, even myself—we all hit walls, but it’s not what you think. Forget about hard work and talent; the real barriers are sneaky and buried deep! Once you spot them, you'll realize they're everywhere. But don’t worry, I’m not just spilling the secrets; I’m here to show you how to smash through those obstacles and finally step into the life you've been dreaming about!

Sounds impossible? Maybe. But that’s the thing about the impossible—it’s only impossible until someone shows you how it’s done.

So what are these 3 blocks? Here’s a taste:

You Have Something to Say

  • Ever feel like you’re out of words? Trust me, you have something important to share; it’s all about discovering it!

Fear of Being Seen

  • Think you’re scared of failing? Nope! It’s really about showing your true self. Embrace that visibility, and watch everything shift!

Fear of Judgment

  • Believe it’s others holding you back? Not quite—the toughest critic is usually you. Good news: I’ll show you how to turn that around!

That’s all I’m going to give away for now. If you want the full breakdown, you need to listen to this episode. Trust me, these three things are sabotaging you more than you know—and once you uncover them, your life will never be the same.

Here’s the deal: I believe in you, even if you don’t right now. These blocks are holding you down, but guess what? You can break them. Yes, YOU. But only if you’re ready to step up and claim what’s yours.

So, what’s your next move? Are you ready to stop playing small? No more excuses. No more playing small.

🎙 Listen now on The Adventure Paradox Podcast and get ready to uncover the barriers standing in your way.

Want to go even deeper? Visit our Instagram account: @theadventureparadox to learn more, or maybe even reach out to be a guest. I’d love to hear your story!

P.S. I’m so excited to tease something super special coming up in the next few weeks—a brand new series that’s going to feature some incredible women balancing it all. And trust me, these mamas aren’t just raising kids—they’re juggling so much more. You don’t want to miss this series. It’s going to be fun, fierce, and maybe even a little competitive. Think parenting, challenges, and everything in between. Stay tuned—it’s going to be epic.

So what are you waiting for? It’s time to step up, grab the mic, and claim the life you’re meant for. Your adventure starts now.

Catch you soon!
