Kathy Flaherty, Executive Director of the Connecticut Legal Rights Project, discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected people with psychiatric disabilities, particularly those in inpatient facilities. Kathy shares her work in Connecticut advocating for the rights of patients in psychiatric hospitals as well as her own experience with the flaws in our mental healthcare system. Additionally, Kathy delves into long COVID-19 the long-term impacts of the pandemic on the disability community.
