Hide & Seek
Guess who's back in the house... Michael and Tim are BACK for a 2019 full of sexy content, and we've invited two very special guests to join us on the show this week. Midsumma is fast approaching, as as the community kicks back, parties, and gets frisky in the summer months we talk about consent in sex spaces, and also about substances we might take over the party season. Consent is sexy! We are joined by Hide and Seek listener and consent advocate Brodie Turner who is the coordinator of Midsumma 2019's Consent Festival - the launching event for the Midsumma season! We talk about queer people leading in the consent advocacy space, and auctioning practical skills around consent. We look beyond sex in consent in health, and the workplace outside the general concept of "yes is yes, no is no" Double Drop! We double drop this week, as we are again joined by Owen Hall from Dancewize (a program of Harm Reduction Victoria) to talk about drug safety, and pill testing over the summer party season. Heading out, and potentially imbibing in some substances? Take a listen in. We talk briefly on how you can STILL have your say on the poppers ban. Public submissions close soon - and you can follow this messaging guideline to help craft a submission to the TGA and have your say. It has been put together by health professionals and advocates to help you get the most out of your say! http://bit.ly/NAGmessagingguide You can also attend two public consultation forums, in Sydney and in Melbourne before the TGA makes it's decision. Sydney Thursday, 31 January Kirby Institute UNSW Wallace Wurth Building, High St, Kensington NSW 16:00 - 18:00, Afternoon tea 15:30 Melbourne Thursday 7 February 2019 La Trobe City Campus 360 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 16:00 – 18:00, Afternoon tea 15:30 Consent Festival at Midsumma 2019 Dancewize BeHeardNotHarmed: Pill Testing Campaign event

39. “Pump Up The Jam” – Performance and Image Enhancing Drugs

We're sexy and we know it... Michael and Tim are getting #SWOLE in this special enhanced edition of Hide and Seek looking at the impact of PIEDs - or Performance and Image Enhancing Drugs. Whether it's steroids, aminos, peptides, or even cialis.... there are a number of ways we use drugs to enhance our physique and our physical and sexual performance. We chat with gym owner and personal trainer Jon Kok about how to use these substances safety, drug interactions, and why gay men are obsessed with the perfect physique. We also talk about the different substances that offer different kinds of bodily improvement. Of course, we talk about other ways to keep fit, and align your body with the one in your mind. With our subject so intrinsically connected to the subjects of positive and toxic masculinity - we talk brieftly about the recent news about a Melbourne LGBTI club's photographer brief scandal - but we hold over most of that chat... for the SEXTRAS! Pop A Bottle We double drop this week, as we are again joined by Owen Hall from Dancewize (a program of Harm Reduction Victoria) to talk about drug safety, and pill testing over the summer party season. Heading out, and potentially imbibing in some substances? Take a listen in. We talk briefly on how you can STILL have your say on the poppers ban. Public submissions have closed - but you can follow this messaging guideline before heading to one of the public consultations this and next month.
