Welcome to the 69th episode of the Give A Heck Podcast!Join Dwight Heck and his guest, Kekua Kobashigawa, as they chat about her life’s ups and downs which led her to a life-long mission of helping women build confidence and self-respect. Kekua also shared how teaching Zumba helped her see how important her energy is for other people. She taught Zumba before, fully aware that she was doing it so that she and her students can have fun. She’s seen her students move up from the back of the class gradually to the front as they are no longer afraid of being seen. Come a day she didn’t want to do Zumba anymore because of the burnout was the moment when she took the responsibility of being the crucial element in other people’s lives that helps turn on their light. This episode is every bit emotional and warm but also full of valuable lessons so stay tuned!
In this episode, you’ll learn about:
● How Kekua’s childhood affected her life
● What made Kekua realize her life mission
● How we affect other people’s lives is a responsibility
● Why it’s important to love yourself from the inside out
● Acknowledging the environment the people around you are in
● And much more!
~
About Kekua Kobashigawa:
Her career in the fitness industry began with teaching classes, which led to training personal clients and then managing a fitness facility. Loved it and she realized her true passion wasn’t in the physical aspect of her work but, rather, the mental and emotional side that is often overlooked in the chase for the physical. For Kekua, fulfillment comes from helping women develop empowerment, love, and respect for themselves.
She’s been the unhappy wife, the overwhelmed mother, the empty woman who has no idea when she disappeared. She’s been lost and confused and unsure of everything except for her children. I know what it feels like to not know what life is supposed to be and think she’s messed it all up. But when she learned how to take her power back, how to Do Big Sh!t, I changed from the inside.
