James Chapman is the Founder & CEO of Plain Sight – a social platform for connecting like-minded people virtually or in-person. He has dedicated the bulk of his career creating spaces for ambitious people to thrive and come together. In 2015, he launched an evening workspace for side-hustlers to collaborate, which led to the idea for Plain Sight. In 2017, he started and ran Detroit Demo Day which has provided over $4 million in funding to small businesses throughout the city of Detroit; the majority of which have been minority and woman-owned.
