Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking with Sharon Rolph about finding fresh courage in retirement. Sharon desires that each person finds purpose, essence, and fulfillment in their retirement years. Finding fresh courage in retirement means identifying what you love to do, your talents, abilities, values and what lights you up. As those things become apparent, she encourages listeners to honor and love that gift in you. Often women have a feeling of invisibility after a certain age and then that compounds after retirement. Who are we once we no longer have a business card to define us or children at home to focus on? Instead of becoming emotionally distant, isolated, bored or depressed in this season, we can find meaningful activity. Finding fresh courage in retirement looks like focusing on what makes us strong, controlling our fears and thoughts then using our imagination to focus on what we can do. Imagine new horizons with curiosity and an attitude of possibility. Get excited about finding that purpose every day, living in alignment with the person you are becoming. Sharon encouraged listeners to hold a space for themselves to do and be something different. Finding fresh courage is reframing what we can do now with satisfaction and fulfillment. If you are in this season of life, please grab a cuppa something wonderful and join us for this conversation. Be encouraged, you can find fresh courage in retirement!

Today on Feminine Roadmap you can learn how to uplevel your mindset. Guest Michaela Renee Johnson is on a mission to uplevel your mindset from a limited mindset to a growth mindset. If you have a limited mindset you may see the world as not having enough to go around or that you cannot do the things you desire to do. On the other hand, a growth mindset says that you can do whatever you put your mind to and there is enough opportunity for everyone. Michaela challenges listeners to evaluate what they are thinking, what kind of energy they put out, what kind of attitude they carry and how that is impacting the world they live in. She encourages us to begin to tune in to the narrative that is running in our heads and identify whether it is a limited or growth mindset. Once we have become aware of the mindset we operate from we can then begin to grow in the direction we want to go. Since change inevitably comes into every life, it is helpful to accept that change can be hard and uncomfortable but necessary for us to grow. So if you find yourself in a place where you are curious about where you are and where you could possibly go in your mindset, join us. Grab a cuppa something wonderful and get ready to uplevel your mindset.

Today on Feminine Roadmap we’re talking about intuitive eating and body peace with Lisa Dahl. Lisa is an intuitive eating and body image health coach. She is on a mission to help people break the myth that they are broken or have to be in thinner bodies to be healthy or live full, happy lives. Lisa has learned through her own experience that food has no moral value and that we are neither good nor bad because of what we eat. She explains that as we understand that every body is different, has different needs and that food is just a messenger, we can begin to shift away from judgement to acceptance. In this episode she lays out her five pillars to body peace and food freedom that empower listeners to stop punishing themselves around food and physical size. She encourages listeners to challenge their inner food police, to question the words they use when speaking about themselves, and begin to build self compassion. If you find yourself caught in the pattern of seeing yourself as good or bad when it comes to the food you eat or the size you wear then join us. This episode will give you tools and strategies to come to a place of peace with your body and food.

Today on Feminine Roadmap Valerie Ellis talks about how to make your move in midlife. Valerie brings practical perspective to how capable we are to make a powerful move in midlife. When we think about purpose and calling it’s easy to think of a role we “should” play or what others think we “should” do. It’s time to drop the “shoulds” and dig into the skills, desire and natural talent that is already existing within us. Valerie points out how the first half of our lives we have been productive but midlife presents a new opportunity and direction. One of the strategies that empowers us to move toward our next phase is to take the time to really crystalize clearly who we are, what we feel drawn to do, and identify those things that we are naturally good at that bring us joy. She rejects the idea that just because it’s hard doesn’t mean we aren’t meant to keep moving forward or that the only reason to move forward is if it’s easy. Join us for a conversation that will help you to clarify your next best steps, empowering you to take of the shackles of “should” or other people’s ideas and make that shift to a vibrant, intentional second half. It’s time to reacquaint you with you so grab a cuppa something wonderful, hit play and let’s do this thing called midlife.

Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking about being invisible no more with inspirational 81 year old Jean Peelen. Jean talks about life after 50, the beginning of her second half adventures. She went to law school as a 35 year old single mom in order to become a civil liberties lawyer. When she retired at 59, she and 2 friends wrote their first book about their experiences of being invisible no more. They realized that there was a shift in how they were being perceived and treated so they wrote a book to give place to their voice. A second book followed and much media attention followed amplifying their voices for women over 50 even further. Meanwhile she decided to break into the modeling industry with no knowledge or experience. For the next 10 years she enjoyed modeling and doing commercials. She moved from Washington DC to a small island off the west coast of Florida and ran for City Commissioner, which she won. Our conversation is an inspiring look at the power of creating our lives after 50, of being invisible no more. Jean believes that women over 50 need to nurture the ability to step back and see themselves in the world, who they are and what they bring. Once you have that view then dream what you want to do, declare it to the world then take action. The world needs women over 50 to bring all that they are to this world with confidence and vision. Grab a cuppa something wonderful, another fabulous woman over 50, hit play then prepare to get inspired by Jean today.

Today on Feminine Roadmap we will begin to clear your clutter with Julie Coraccio. Julie is passionate about supporting people in creating the life they choose, deserve, and desire, by teaching the skills of recognizing and clearing clutter in their lives: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. She believes that clutter is stuck stagnant energy and encourages listeners to take a moment to examine their inner and outer worlds. By taking the time to ask the right questions, observe patterns in our lives and connect with how we feel in the spaces we live in, we can begin to create change. Julie reminds listeners to be gentle with themselves, not be judgemental or critical of ourselves. Clutter is often an indicator that something is off in another area of our lives. Areas of clutter can include relationships, emotions, thoughts, things, and expectations. Often our indecision about these areas creates the clutter. Julie believes that we always have a choice and doing nothing is a choice. We encourage you to join us and make a new choice, a choice toward freedom in every area of your life. So please grab a cuppa something wonderful, sit back, relax and enjoy!

Today on Feminine Roadmap Dr. Katie Nall shares how to build emotional wealth. Katie believes that while most people live in emotional debt they are not even aware of it. The beauty is that there are things we can do to become aware and gain emotional wealth. One of the ways she encourages emotional wealth is by taking stock of time and energy, self- care and rest, understanding how much we’re giving and receiving in our day to day lives. She reminds listeners that even though we all experience stress, it can be controlled as we take intentional action. One of the ways she helps people gain emotional wealth is by using the Emotional Freedom Technique. EMT is the practice of tapping, a scientifically proven tool that helps process emotions while tapping on specific points on the face and body.
