Fearless with Cissie Graham Lynch

My grandmother, Ruth Graham, said when it comes to the salvation of our children, we are to take care of the possible and let God take care of the impossible. We can’t save their souls—only God can do that—but there are other things we can do.

There is nothing more important than praying faithfully and intentionally for our children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Just as the calendar was about to flip from 2021 to 2022, I asked God for a word to guide my life for the next 12 months. His answer came just as I was about to go to sleep for the night: Prayer.

In this episode, I will tell you a personal story of how—within a few days of giving me the word ‘prayer’—God answered a very precious prayer for me.

I’ll also share a recap of my experience last month at the 49th March for Life and how you can pray for the pro-life movement and the important Supreme Court decision on Roe vs. Wade later this summer.

I’m part of a generation that wants answers. A few years ago I started questioning; not what I believed, but why. I was fortunate to grow up in a home with parents who reinforced a Christian worldview. I studied the Bible. But I wanted to be able to define not just what I believed, I also wanted to be able to give an explanation and give guidance to where others could find the same truth. Today on the #FearlessPodcast I’m talking to someone who is an expert on this. J Warner Wallace was a Los Angeles Homicide Detective and “unbelieving husband” who did his own investigation into this very topic. In our conversation, we talk about Truth and why it’s important for us to have practical tools to be able to give a reason for our faith.

In this special episode of Fearless, we sit down with Secretary Scott Turner, the newly appointed Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Broadcasting from the Billy Graham Training Center in Asheville, North Carolina, this conversation dives deep into Secretary Turner’s incredible journey—from his roots in Dallas, Texas, to his career in the NFL, and ultimately, to his calling in public service.
Many may recognize Secretary Turner from his viral prayer at President Trump’s first cabinet meeting, but this episode reveals the heart behind the headlines. With a deep faith and a commitment to servant leadership, Turner shares how his life experiences—including overcoming childhood adversity, his time in professional sports, and his service in the Texas House of Representatives—have prepared him for this moment. He also reflects on the importance of trusting in God’s timing and persevering through challenges, citing the lessons he’s learned along the way.
A key focus of this conversation is the pressing issue of homelessness in America, which has reached historic levels. Turner provides a candid look at the challenges facing HUD and why he believes faith-based organizations and nonprofits must play a larger role in addressing the crisis. “The federal government is not the answer,” he says, emphasizing the power of local communities and churches to bring meaningful change.
As Turner prepares to meet with local leaders and visit disaster-stricken areas in North Carolina, he shares how faith informs his approach to governance. I like to call John and Korey Cooper the “rock star it couple.” They’ve been married 25 years, they’re members of the Christian band Skillet and they’re relentless defenders of truth.

John and Korey have been setting an example of how to have a Christ-centered marriage, raise Godly kids and be a light for Jesus in a dark world for years. I’ve seen firsthand John and Korey praying for and ministering to people at some of my dad’s outreaches.
