Content Creator or Small business owner. This episode was done live at Fincon so you might have a little background noise, but it should be audible. Today, we talk with Glenn James from my millennial money who created a 7-figure podcast by prioritizing himself as a small business owner first and content creator second. During the course of the conversation, he discusses some of the strategies that he used to grow his business and the importance of finding a need in the market and then fully committing yourself to addressing that need. He also talks about the benefits of steady organic growth despite the fact that many content creators often search for viral hits. We finish off the discussion with the power of generosity and notes that you will never be worst off for having a generous spirit.

This is a special pre-graduation episode of Family Abide. During the show, we talk about the importance of working hard to achieve a goal and the significance of a cap and gown. Like Eric Thomas says in his new book it s important to match the power of education, with expression and excellence to unlock its potential to truly change communities. Following graduation, we will do an episode to see how their experiences match up with what they actually see. We also discuss the new financial Word of the day which is employee. We review the definition of an employee from sense to cents which is “a person who works for another person or business.” We also discuss tangible examples of employees that the girls encounter frequently like teachers and the concept of receiving payment with work. Before, we end the episode I tell Divine that while working as an employee you help the employer obtain their vision, and employees plays an important part to bring vision into reality with hard work. The last thing we talk about is associating allowance with performance and work.

The Yard-Driven or Depleted
Family Abide: A Faith, Family, and Finance Podcast
05/31/22 • 56 min
The Yard can be defined as the main quad of open space located on the Campus of Howard University. However, the Yards' definition can not be limited to a location on a map, because it is so much more. The Yard is a marketplace of ideas that becomes a spiritual place embedded within our souls that shapes our thoughts, ideas, and actions as we mature into adulthood. Family Abides' version of the yard seeks to cultivate a similar environment where a Husband and Wife discuss Faith, Family, and Finance and the intersectionality of all three.
On this platform, we will discuss how our values shape our interaction with the culture. Give you insight into our productive struggle of melding two different upbringing into one cohesive unit for our children, and try not to tap dance around current topics that impact our household. These conversations are had with @charitys.notes and @familyabide and you can follow them on all your major social media networks to get more detail.
The topic for today's Episode is Driven or Depleted and how to navigate one's expectations versus actual experiences, especially with Money, Marriage, and Motherhood.
