Walking in Jesus' footsteps means walking in Love, what God prefers (1 John 4:9,10) by Jesus living His Life in and through you. (Galatians 2:20, Romans 8:9-10) The Holy Spirit stirring your most holy emotions (1 Corinthians 2:4) to swap your human wishes and ideas for God’s wishes and ideas as He divinely persuades you. (Romans 8:16)
Jesus is your example of how to follow what the Father prefers. (John 10:30, John 14:9) He was unable to do anything on His own initiative, but only what the Father instructed Him and revealed for Him to do as His Messenger. (John 5:19; John 8:28-29). Now, just as the Father commissioned Jesus to represent Him, Jesus has commissioned you to represent Him. (John 17:18; John 20:21)
As His child, God fills you with Himself to mimic Him (Ephesians 5:1-2, Colossians 2:10) You have the Holy Spirit, who exposes Christ's thoughts and purposes in you, so you can carry out his will on earth. (1 Corinthians 2:16) God is continually inspiring you to listen to Him through the Holy Spirit to walk as Jesus’ personal representative (2 Corinthians 5:20) and do what pleases Him. Jesus chose you to represent Father (Philippians 2:13). (John 17:18; 20:21).

God implants in you a desire to listen to Him and do what pleases Him. (Philippians 2:13) He is deeply interested in every aspect of your life. He knows everything there is to know about you (Psalm 139:1), including His good plans (Jeremiah 29:11) and works He has set for you to complete by listening to Him. (Ephesians 2:10; John 10:3).
Jesus is your example of how to listen to the Father. (John 10:30, John 14:9) He was unable to do anything on His own initiative, but only what the Father instructed Him and revealed for Him to do as His Messenger. (John 5:19; John 8:28-29). Now, just as the Father commissioned Him to represent the Father, Jesus has commissioned you to represent Him. (John 17:18; John 20:21).
The Spirit of Christ now teaches you all things in Jesus' name and urges you to remember His every word (Romans 8:9, John 14:26) He reveals the reality of every truth whispering within your innermost being that you are capable of doing the things that Jesus accomplished (John 16:13, John 14:12) in complete harmony with God's plan and your destiny—all it's in His hands. Recognizing God's voice is critical to experiencing your new life in Christ to the fullest—abundant life till you overflow! (John 10:10). The Father draws you into a personal relationship with Him through Christ, (John 6:44) so that you can recognize His voice (John 10:27) by the Holy Spirit whispering within your innermost being to your own spirit. (Romans 8:16)
The Father is thinking of you every moment! (Psalm 139:17) He always knows what your need even before you ask Him. (Matthew 6:8) He is intimately aware of you. He reads your heart like an open book and knows all the words you are about to speak even before even start a sentence! (Psalm 139:3-4) And He implants within you the passion to listen to Him, so you accomplish what pleases Him. (Philippians 2:13)

Christ now lives within you (Galatians 2:20), so you can recognize His voice speaking to you (John 10:2-5). You who have been born anew by the Holy Spirit belong to God and can hear His voice. Jesus said, "My own sheep hear and listen to My voice; I know each and every one of them, and they follow Me." (John 10:27)
The Father wants you to hear Jesus' voice. He tells you, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen carefully to all He has to say!” (Luke 9:35) And He wants you to have the ability to tune into and respond to His voice, since He is constantly thinking of you every single moment. (Psalms 139:17)
In love, God chose to pursue a personal relationship with you before He laid the foundation of the world. (Ephesians 1:4) Now you can come boldly and confidently into God’s presence knowing He hears you (Ephesians 3:12) and whispers within your innermost being through the Holy Spirit, (Romans 8:16) and thus persuading you what He prefers. (1 Corinthians 2:4)

Jesus is your Shepherd and Best Friend, tenderly caring for you out of His deep love. (Psalm 23:2, 1 John 4:8,16) He is your oasis of peace refreshing your life because your life is joined with Him. (Matthew 11:29) You simply leave all your cares and anxieties at His feet, and measureless grace will strengthen you. (Psalm 55:22, 2 Corinthians 12:9)

As Jesus walked through the towns and villages demonstrating God’s power by healing every kind of disease and every weakness and illness. His heart was deeply moved with compassion, because they seemed weary, harassed and dejected and helpless, like wandering sheep without a shepherd. He told His disciples, “The harvest is huge and ripe! But there are not enough harvesters to bring it all in.” (Matthew 9:35-37) So, Jesus makes you a harvester to bring in His harvest. (Matthew 9:38, Luke 10:2)
Christ continues to carry His message to the world (Hebrews 13:8) through you in whom He lives, (Galatians 2:20) as His personal representative of the highest rank. He authorizes you to speak on His behalf, (2 Corinthians 5:20) and do the same works He did and even greater ones. (John 14:12)
You are the voice of heaven to the earth, invested with royal power through the name of Jesus and the authority of His blood with authority to cast out demons and to heal every sickness and every disease. (Matthew 10:1, Luke 9:1)
Now Christ lives His life in you! (Romans 8:10) And He will continue to do His same works through you (John 14:12) to undo and destroy the works the devil has done (1 John 3:8) the Holy Spirit directing you into harvest field to do Jesus good works. He gives you the authority and power to drive out demons in His name, (Luke 10:17, Mark 16:17) and healing those are harassed and oppressed by the power of the devil. (Acts 10:38)

God's unending love and grace serve as the cornerstone of Jesus' instruction in Matthew 6. He reminds you that your Heavenly Father knows what you need before you ask Him. (Matthew 6:8) And He planned beforehand as your Provider for all of your daily needs to fulfill the destiny He gave you. (Psalm 139:16, Ephesians 2:10)
As His child, your Father generously provides for all of your needs and completely satisfies them.(Philippians 4:19, Ephesians 1:13) He makes every form of grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way- under all circumstances and whatever the need. (2 Corinthians 9:8)
So, chase after and stockpile what the Father already provides: Heavenly treasures that can never be stolen or lose their value. (Matthew 6:20) Deal with any obstacle that comes your way without worrying about it (Matthew 6:34); instead, give them to the Father in faith, knowing that He will take care of you. (Psalm 23:1, 1 Peter 5:7)

Matthew 6 is a continuation of the Sermon on the Mount from chapter 5. "Love your enemies," Jesus teaches. (Matthew 5:44, Leviticus 19:18) Bless those who curse you, and do something wonderful for those who despise you, and respond by praying for those who persecute you. Because doing so reveals you are a true child of your heavenly Father. (Matthew 5:45)
Jesus gave a new command: Love each other just as much as I have loved you, (John 13:34) which requires Him to live His Life through you. (Galatians 2:20, 1 John 4:9) So now you experience God’s endless love pouring into your heart through the Holy Spirit who lives within you. (Romans 5:5) God’s love continually pours from you to others, confirming that He loves you and gives you the power to love others. (1 John 4:7, 11; Ephesians 3:14-21)
The foundation of Jesus teaching you how to pray is God's unending love. (Matthew 6:9-14) The Father and Jesus are one, (John 10:30) and praying as Jesus prays requires you to be in union with Jesus. He prayed for you to be joined together as one with them, (John 17:21) so that the world would recognize that I am living in you and working through you. (John 14:12-14, 20)

God has exalted and multiplied Jesus’ Greatness by giving Him the GREATEST Name above all names! (Philippians 2:9) The Name that is far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named and every title that can be conferred. (Ephesians 1:21) The highest Name of God – LORD [YHWH], Yahweh (Exodus 6:33) – for Jesus and the Father are ONE. (John 10:30) He is the exact likeness of God. (Colossians 1:15)
And just as Jesus carries the Name of His Father within Him (John 17:11), you, being born of the Spirit of God (John 3:7-8, Acts 4:12, Roman 10:13), carry the Name of Jesus within you. (Galatians 2:20) Jesus has delegated to you the power and authority of His Name to do the same works He did and even greater works (John 14:12) in the same way He did His Father’s works. (John 5:19)
Jesus was unable to do anything through His own initiative; He only did the things the Father revealed to Him (John 8:28) in the Father’s Name. Thus Jesus directs you to use the Power of His Name the same way He used the Father’s name – as Authorized and Directed by Him, divinely persuading you what to do that flows out of being in His Presence. Then you can ask anything in His name, and He will do it for you! (John 14:14)

Walking in Jesus' footsteps entails embracing the whole width of God's love, which is fully matched with His chosen will. (1 John 4:9,10). As Jesus walked in the Father's love, He urges you to love each other as much as He loves you by His presence in you, which empowers you to love as He loves. (John 13:34) The Holy Spirit marvelously influencing and implanting a desire to please Him in you. (2 Corinthians 2:13)
Jesus is the perfect example of how to do what the Father prefers, which is to be one with Him. (John 10:30; 14:9). He merely did what the Father instructed Him to do, effectively acting as His heavenly messenger (John 5:19; John 8:28-29). Now He has given you a divine commission to represent Him in the same way that He represented the Father, walking in His footsteps as His messenger. (See also John 17:18; 20:21).
