In an appearance on MLB Network Radio last week, Dodgers Reporter/Host of "Dodger Talk", David Vassegh said the Dodgers 'are definitely in talks with free agent infielder DJ LeMahieu'.

We dive into the latest rumors linking LeMahieu to LA and assess how he would fit into the Dodgers lineup. Then, the Dodgers traded for left-handed pitcher Garrett Cleavinger. Plus, why adding DJ LeMahieu to an already potent Dodgers lineup could transform them into one of the greatest offenses in baseball history.

In other news, for much of the offseason, it has remained unclear what kind of deal the most coveted free agent arm, Trevor Bauer, is seeking. That changed late Tuesday night after MLB Network's Jon Heyman tweeted that teams interested in Bauer are suggesting the prized free agent is looking for a five- to six-year deal worth between $36 to $40 million per season. Bauer denied the report and proceeded to get into it with Heyman on Twitter.

We dive into Trevor Bauer's Twitter feud with Jon Heyman and discuss whether there's any truth to the rumor. Next, we assess whether the Dodgers would consider signing the reigning National League Cy Young-winner to one of the most lucrative deals for a pitcher in MLB history. Plus, do the Dodgers need to add an arm to their starting rotation and should they inquire about Cincinnati Reds RHP Luis Castillo?

play

12/09/20 • 24 min

With one year left on his contract before entering free agency, the Dodgers have a big decision to make regarding Corey Seager: do they offer the elite shortstop a lucrative contract extension?

Coming off a monster 2020 campaign, where he finished top 10 in MVP voting, won both the NLCS and World Series MVPs, the all-star shortstop could be the next Dodger in line to get locked up long term. We assess Seager’s value and if the Dodgers are willing to offer Corey Seager a 9-figure extension this offseason.

Plus, how big of an obstacle is Scott Boras in possible Corey Seager extension talks?

Next, with the MLB winter meetings upon us and the hot stove set to heat up, we take a look at one of the most coveted free agents this offseason: DJ LeMahieu. With the New York Yankees prioritizing re-signing the 2020 AL batting crown winner, we discuss what it would take to pry LeMahieu away from the Pinstripes and how he would fit on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Plus, we discuss ESPN's senior MLB Insider Jeff Passan's piece, where he mentions the Dodgers as a possible landing spot for LeMahieu.
