In this continuation of the Episode 2 discussion on "love," Dr. Mark Hahlen asserts that "You step into biblical love...you don't fall into biblical love." Prevalent to the notion of love in our culture are the ideas that love is an emotion, and that love constitutes an acceptance without challenge—commonly referred to as "unconditional love." The biblical notion of love, however, is to act intentionally, in sympathetic response to others. It focuses on giving rather than receiving.
