Podcast Q&A
Why did you start this show?
I have spoken with Dads on 4, maybe even 5 continents on my other show. It doesn't matter where you come from, what color you are or what your accent is, a dad can bond with another dad. There is no perfect dad, only dads that are doing their best. So I created a show With candid conversations, heartfelt stories, and of course, plenty of dad jokes, each episode brings a fresh perspective on the joys and challenges of being a father. We cover all the "Hats" a Dad wears as a father.
What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?
For dads to have a place where they can be encouraged and know they are not alone. Your kid is not the only one to bite the dog or eat the glue. There is so much to being a dad and no dad feels equal to the task. Come laugh with us, cry with us and learn from every day dads just trying to not screw up their kid
Which episode should someone start with?
There is not a perfect episode. Every episode is a different dad with insecurities, ideas, hopes, dreams and concerns. We have dads who are authors and speakers, we have dads with no following or social media that wear hardhats all day. Some have never recorded a podcast. We are just dads talking about dad stuff and sharing our experiences and ideas.
Which have been your favourite episodes so far?
"Andy Coyle on Supporting Your Kids’ Passions (Even When You Don’t Get It)" Because Andy is one of my dearest friends. Our kids play together, our wives are best friends and I was present for one of the stories he shares about the topic. He is not famous or know, he doesn't have social media or a following, he is just a dad I know who is doing his best everyday in a complex house hold as he is Autistic, at least 2 of his children are on the spectrum and so is his wife. He is a dad working hard
Which episode are you most proud of?
To early to know
What is your vision for your show?
I just want to serve Dad's, I truly believe that supporting dads is the key to our future. Dads have a huge impact on the world and most dads have no idea how important they are.
What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?
the Relationship Trade Secrets Podcast for Indie Podcast and Either the BigDeal by Codie Sanchez or The Diary Of A CEO (I listen to a lot of business Podcast)
How did you come up with the name for your podcast?
It came to me one day as I was contemplating all the roles dads fill in the lives of kids. Fathers just learning all kinds of things so they can do things with or for their kids. I had the cover art just jump to mind with it.
Tell us a bit about yourself
