Fire Signs
Cosmic Guidance For All
03/03/22 • 142 min
For our last episode in our Sign Series, we turn up the heat with Fire Signs: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Kirah hangs out with djenneba drammeh, Diana Rose Harper and Kelsey Rose Tortorice. We explore the transformational, smokey and heated qualities of the fire element, its diurnal nature, its relationship with Saturn and more.
Diana Rose Harper is an astrologer, tarot reader, writer, educator, and animist living on Tongva land in so-called southern California and serving clients worldwide through the magic of the internet. She is deeply invested in the power of asking better, sharper questions towards a more ferociously loving, compassionately honest, and profoundly interconnected state of being. By blending an earnest belief in humankind’s ability to do better, a disinterest in dysfunctional hierarchies, and delight in the process of healing, she aims to guide others towards an expansive and re-enchanted relationship with existence.

djenneba drammeh is a writer, book editor, astrologer, and bookseller emeritus. Before receiving a scholarship to learn Hellenistic and electional astrology under Chris Brennan, they spent time working in and around the NYC arts and culture space, cutting their teeth as an assistant producer for Afropunk and as a bookseller at Strand Book Store. Wild for vivid stories and expanding language to translate them, djenneba is the lead editor of Mercury’s Brood, the forthcoming astro-literary anthology book funded on Kickstarter. Concerned with the ways that popular understandings of astrology can fail or overlook marginalized experiences, they apply an intersectional black queer feminist lens to both client work and mundane astrology. djenneba is also contributing writer to the love horoscope app CUSP, Buzzfeed’s monthly horoscopes, and is creator of the horoscope newsletter Twelve Questions.

Kelsey is an anticapitalist astrologer and teacher. As a being ruled by Jupiter, she is deeply engaged in the processes of expansion and understanding of self, other, relationality, and consciousness. She embraces the simultaneous difference and sameness of each human experience, and utilizes various modalities, frameworks, and spiritual teachings in honoring and navigating this apparent contradiction. Kelsey aims to accompany people on their journeys home to themselves, inviting deeper levels of autonomy and authenticity on the way.

Mo Olufemi - I am a "traditional astrologer" with a focus on Hellenistic and Medieval/Perso-Arabic astrology. I have been practicing seriously for 3 years and learning astrology for much longer. I also do tarot as well, really keying into Golden Dawn associations with Astrology and how this can allow the two subjects to come together really well. Currently, I live in Toronto to pursue graduate studies in a STEM field, and I am looking to build more of a community around traditional astro here in Canada, back home in the US, and abroad!

I will be in the inaugural episode of the Mutable Minds podcast hosted by Blaze (@astrobymax)! It should be one worth watching since it provides a good framework for how I approach astrology and the kinds of techniques that I use.
