AnnMarie is known for her work in multicultural education, multicultural literacies, and culturally-sustaining teaching pedagogies. She studies multicultural literature in teacher education, investigates the culturally-sustaining pedagogies in early childhood education settings, and studies the familial impacts of adult males who were incarcerated while developing literacy programs for adult male inmates. Dr. Gunn is an Associate Professor for Reading and Literacy Studies in the College of Education at the University of South Florida.
