Thank you so much for following these solo episodes and my writing journey! Talking out the writing and story problems I have faced and what I am doing to resolved and grow my writing is so fun. I love the feedback and messages from writers and authors and listeners, thank you! Today's episode dives into the last third of April Camp NaNoWriMo and the intrinsic details I dove into for my story. Now that draft three is outlined and as ready to write as ever, I feel prepared!
How did I get to this preparation stage?
Today I talk about diving into character: the internal conflict, fears, desires, misbeliefs, motivations, misconceptions... all found using my story and one other simple strategy that is accessible to everyone. Tune in to find out!
I also talked about the difference between an anti-hero, antagonist, and villain, something you will want to listen in on.
I hope you enjoyed today's episode and I will talk to you soon!

Today's episode is a great one! In this addition of the show, I talked to Michael Ciccarelli-Walsh about all things storytelling. Author of the Zoboros Series, both of which are reviewed on the Chronicles & Coffee blog, Michael has a wide variety of input to give on the superhero fantasy genre, writing, publishing, and so much more. Today we talked about so, as well as his time as a Florida State student turned alumni faculty member, as well as his time doing the UCLA Screenwriting Program, all of which were huge steps to his writing career. We talked about finding a writing group, drafting, revising, where our ideas come from, and so much more.
Also, this is the first episode where I am implementing writing advice from listeners like you in the midst of the episode, so be on the hunt for that intermission each episode to see if your advice (posted on Twitter) made it into today's cut! Today's was from Gregory Alexander Sharp, with Twitter username SempaiGreg. Thanks for the great advice!

Hey everyone, thanks for tuning into this solo episode. These are still newer to me so I thank you for listening in! Today I went in depth about my Camp NaNo experience this April and how I have completely reconstructed, reoutlined, and revised my novel to prepare for draft three. I hope some of this was entertaining, interesting, inspiring, or some sort of fun to listen to! I am trying to engage this conversation and make a space for everyone to share their process more as I see it done so much on social media already and wanted to join in on the fun!
I also talked about a few recent reads and anticipated Fantasy reads by well-known authors to help spark my craft :).
Some of these solo episodes are also available on video on YouTube to see the books and materials I talk about and watch in & comment on the conversation. Thank you for all the private messages and comments so far, I can't wait for more to come.

Back again with part two to this amazing discussion featuring El Lyons. This has been such a pleasure to take all of this information and converse about it on a platform where everyone can further give their input and listen in! I hope you were able to listen to part one where we discussed world-building in fantasy, balancing description, audiobooks, and so much more. This episode had even more enhanced topics such as the trouble with titles, formulated title overuse, the controversy with prologues, chapter length, a brief skim on subgenres, outlining, and so much more. Enjoy this conversation and stick around to hear more from the two of us together in future episodes.
El Lyons is such a pleasure to have on the show and I know you agree too! Make sure to keep up with this amazing author using the links below.

Hey everyone! I am so excited to have El Lyons, author of Starlight Jewel, a dark fantasy novel, back on the podcast. Our last two part episode had such great feedback and I too gained some amazing insight from the conversation. I am excited to say that this new two part episode does not disappoint either, there is so much unraveling regarding world building in fantasy genres, balancing description, writing experiences, audiobooks, and more! And this is only part one... part two taking on even more amazing topics.
Make sure to continue to keep up with El Lyons using the links below, as this is not the last of our conversations. Tune into the episodes to hear what else we are brewing up to talk about and have lovely conversations on. You do not want to miss out.
Talk to you soon,
Olivia.

Hey everyone, thanks for tuning into this podcast interview. Today's conversation featured Allison Marshall, a writer of award-winning short stories and writer of serial fiction on social platforms! Having signed up for 25 National Novel Writing Month and Camps, as well as starting her novel writing journey at age 12, there was a lifetime of writing to uncover here in our short show. We spoke on advice and tips for NaNoWriMo, which is perfect since this is being posted in April, a Camp NaNo month! We also discussed dealing with rejection when writing and how it pertains to all aspects of a creative's life, as well as the differences of writing in short form and long form. Our discussion capped off with inspiration to join a writing group, and then we talked about some fantastic fantasy reads! I hope you will join us in this lovely conversation. Enjoy! And as always, check out Allison's links to stories and socials below to keep up with a new fellow writer!

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for listening to this episode of Chronicles & Coffee. This is the first in my series called 'Creative Accountability', which will be hosted on all podcast streaming platforms like the rest of the show, but also on YouTube! Come join me on YouTube and comment, like, subscribe, and watch me talk if you prefer that medium.
This new series is dedicated to, well, holding me accountable on my creative endeavors! I love to read and write so having this outlet to track my progress in a more dynamic way than constant journaling will be such a fun journey.
And also, hopefully inspiring for listeners like you.
In this episode I talk about what this series is, my plan and current state of April Camp NaNoWriMo, how I am going about writing draft three of my fantasy novel, writing tools and processes, the graphic novel influence on my writing and my role in that industry, what I have been reading and how that has helped my writing, and so much more! I hope you enjoy this type of style of show.
If I keep this style up... there could be two podcasts a week on Chronicles & Coffee!
Stay tuned for the weekly interviews as they continue, but make sure to look out for this new series as well. Thanks for being here!
