Charles Grantham served as the first Executive Director of the National Basketball Players Association and currently heads the Center for Sports Management at Seton Hall University. He talks about the history of labor negotiations in the NBA and what lessons can be learned from collective bargaining when trying to lead a movement and create structural and systemic change. Co-hosting with Ian Cutler is RISE's Sr. Director of Curriculum, Dr. Collin Williams Jr. the co-author of The Miseducation of the Student-Athlete: How to Fix College Sports. Collin helps facilitate a conversation with Professor Grantham about the state of college athletics and the rights of student-athletes.
