An off duty CBP Officer in Houston, TX leaves work to pick up his kids from daycare. When he gets there, he notices something strange. A man gets out of a car, announces "Hey, there's a kid in the car," and walks away. In this episode CBPO DeBottis speaks with Deputy Executive Assistant Commissioner of Office of Field Operations, Diane J. Sabatino, and tells the story of what happened next.

CBP has a story to tell, and that's what we try to do with this podcast. But to tell the full story, we must also drill down into the individual stories of those that make up the CBP workforce. This is the first in what will likely be a series of personal background stories, told by CBP employees themselves. This one comes from Assistant Director of Field Operations, Tinesha Cherry, from the Detroit Field Office. Her story is moving, inspiratonal and perfectly epitomizes the leadership qualities that CBP strives to foster and promote.

This past fiscal year, narcotic seizures at ports of entry within the Buffalo Field Office, especially at the Port of Buffalo, have increased by more than 1,000%. In this episode we discuss some of these record breaking discoveries, and talk about what CBP is doing about it.
