Did you know camels can kick with their front legs AND back legs AND also do this while sitting down...? One of the scariest things as camel training mentors is seeing so many people not be aware of the safety zones when training and handling camels. Unfortunately we see a lot of accidents happen, outside of our training courses, that could have easily been avoided. When a camel hurts you it’s never that the camel wants to hurt you, often it’s by accident and accidents do happen when a handler is not aware of the safety factors or gets complacent. For instance, maybe the camel gets a fright while you’re leading them and if you’re near their front legs when they run you can accidentally get kicked, because they have such long legs. So let’s get you feeling & being safe around camels.... let’s talk about how you can stay safe around camels.
