Rodger G. Ford, co-founder of Anthem Equity Group, Inc., and Chairman Emeritus of ReliantHeart, has been instrumental in real estate and medical device industries. He led Anthem's investments in Tucson real estate until 2003, and later steered ReliantHeart's acquisition of MicroMed in 2013. The company manufactures the aVAD® and HeartAssist5®, globally recognized ventricular assist devices.
Ford also served as SynCardia's CEO from 2005-2011, directing the development of new driver systems for the Total Artificial Heart, including the world's first wearable power supply for it. He transformed SynCardia into an acclaimed bioscience company.
In 1970, Ford founded AlphaGraphics, expanding it to 400 locations globally by 1988. He was awarded Quick Printing Man of the Year in 1985, Arizona SBA Entrepreneur of the Year in 1986, and Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2000.
