Carol’s artistic focus is the rendering of a contemporary landscape: modern in its simplified, barren approach. The work evokes an abstract and interpretative quality created by the disparity between starkness and hyperrealism, with a specialty in geological forms of Georgian Bay, including Killarney, La Cloche Mountains and the North Channel, Lake Huron.Carol’s love of art and nature nurtured her as she obtained a degree in Science from University of Toronto. However, as a self-taught artist she transformed her career into artistic endeavours and began painting professionally over 15 years ago becoming a full-time artist in 2003. Prior to becoming a painter, she worked prolifically in graphite medium, winning many awards for her work since 1983. Carol’s work can be found in numerous Private and Corporate Collections throughout North America.
Her work has been exhibited in the Art Gallery of Sudbury, The Temiskaming Gallery, and the Museum of Northern History in Kirkland Lake.
Stuart Leggett and Carol Currie started their collaboration as artists in 2000 as CLAUSTRO.
Their work has been exhibited in many group shows such as the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, The One of a Kind Show, The Toronto Art Expo, The La Cloche Country Art Show, Willisville Mountain Project, and the McMichael Gallery Fall Art Exhibition.
Their collaborative works are a part of the public collection of Arcturus Gallery, and Fogler Rubinoff LLP

Heather Marshall's debut novel LOOKING FOR JANE, is ALL ABOUT women fighting for their reproductive rights. So it could not be more relevant to bring you this conversation with Heather, on the heels of the U.S. Supreme Court voting to strike down the landmark Roe v. Heather's thoughts and vast knowledge on this topic is beyond worthy of your time and attention. We discuss the vital importance of reproductive rights - not just for women/women-identifying folks - but for ALL humankind regardless of sex or gender, her totally masterful debut novel, the reason this topic is so deeply important to her, how she came up with the idea for the book, and so much more.
Heather Marshall lives with her family near Toronto. She completed master’s degrees in Canadian History and Political Science, and worked in politics and communications before turning her attention to her true passion: storytelling. Olga came to Canada in 2001, holding the hand of her 8 year old daughter in one hand and a cart with 4 pieces of luggage in another. She was a single mom just wanting a better life for her daughter. She brought in her mom and sister who are now the most proud Canadians she knows. As a professional, she built her career working in Telecom (Bell) and at tech companies like Oracle and, now, Splunk. Like many other Ukrainian women in Canada, Olga helped Ukraine in 2014-2015, when Putin took Crimea and pieces of Lugansk and Donetsk regions. And today, when the bombs are falling on schools and apartment buildings murdering and hurting children in the middle of Europe in her native Ukraine, like thousands of other Ukrainian women, Olga is waking up and going to bed with a sole purpose to help Ukrainian people, to reduce suffering, to save lives. Each of us picks her way, her starfish to save. Each of us sends money to Ukraine to enable individuals resisting this aggression to keep fighting, keep living. Each of us is a part of her own "chain of trust" where we give to people we trust. Olga's way is to be nimble, be agile, make the most impact with whatever money she gets. These causes are not always "sexy" but always save lives and reduce suffering. Thank you all for trusting Olga and for making a real difference.
Direct Notes from Olga below:
Here are the names I mentioned:
Daryl Wood who were the first to send me the money without questions asked
My new friend, a Jewish community leader Avrum Rosensweig
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avrum_Rosensweig
Iryna Shpak, the lady whose son was killed in his bed
Diana Makarova and Roman Donik, volunteers in Ukraine I support
Rostyslav and Iryna Bilchenko - Canadian Ukrainians who organize aid for the hospital, currently targeting 15K for medications. Rostyslav is my osteopath who used to be a doctor in Kharkiv City Hospital #2 , so he is helping his ex-colleagues
Oleksiy and Olena Dotsenko, doctors in Kharkiv City Hospital #2 who manage the hospital at this difficult time and tell us what they need.
..and one more name, Oleksiy Arestovich, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oleksiy_Arestovych = when I referred to the presidential adviser calling on Ukrainians to be a part of the war as required by the Geneva convention
In regards to money:
e-transfer to me: [email protected]
paypal to Ukraine : Olena Penkovska [email protected] - this is my best friend who will direct wherever we need to.

DR. DANIEL KALLA RETURNS! On his latest books, life as Head of Emergency at St. Paul's Hospital, and so much more!
Breaking Brave with Marilyn Barefoot
11/17/22 • 44 min
Author Daniel Kalla produces engrossing novels with an intensity that matches the challenge of his other role as an ER physician at a major downtown teaching hospital. His medical thrillers focus on themes that lie at the heart of his professional life, delving into topics as diverse as pandemics, superbugs, addiction, DNA evidence and patient abuse. His most recent trilogy – The Far Side Of The Sky, Rising Sun Falling Shadow and Nightfall Over Shanghai – tells a little-known but amazing historical chapter of the Second World War, when 20,000 Jews fled Germany to find shelter in only one city: Shanghai, “The Paris of the East”. In his latest novel, Lost Immunity, Daniel tackles the issue of vaccine hesitancy and the potential impact on a global outbreak, applying his real-life experience working on the frontlines through the COVID pandemic.
