It took years to heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. With over 30 years of diverse volunteerism, she credits the charitable sector with helping her thrive despite her broken past. Not only is she a seasoned survivor of these so many personal and professional tragedies, she has leveraged her tenaciousness to become an advocate for many.

Your perspective isn’t the only one out there. Understanding that and knowing how to shift your perspective in order to relate and connect with other people is very important. In this episode, Samantha Postman continues her conversation with Tre Ammatuna, frontend engineer at Amazon Web Services, as they share their thoughts on perspective shifting and how it connects to each of their fields. Samantha uses her background in photography to explain the value of having multiple perspectives and why it empowers diversity of thought and practices empathy. Tre, likewise, shares how learning how to shift and recalibrate at a moment’s notice is vital both in software development and life in general.
