BODY IS A TEMPLE

Karina

Welcome to the podcast Body is a Temple by Karina (@wellnessbykarina). It came from my big passion for inspiring people to LIVE LONGER AND LOOK YOUNGER. My mission with the podcast is to make you more aware that the only place you live in and you should take care of is YOUR BODY. You can lose everything, money, house, car, even friends and family, but if you lose your body, you are no longer here. The body that we live in is a fantastic machine. It can recharge itself during sleep, and it can heal itself over time. It gives you an opportunity to achieve anything that you want in your life but only as long as you are healthy. With this podcast, I want to bring you knowledge and inspiration on how to prolong your life and also your health span.My name is Karina. I transformed my party lifestyle through yoga & holistic health. I have been working in corporate work in marketing for many years. Over time I realize that fulfilling social expectations is not making me happy. I started to learn about health, nutrition, exercise, and spirituality. I moved out from Poland to Iceland and then to Mexico. Currently in travel. Learning, working and living my best life. I'm sharing my passion for health and consciousness on the podcast BODY IS A TEMPLE. Inspiring others to live a fulfilling life!

Top 10 BODY IS A TEMPLE Episodes

Best episodes ranked by Goodpods Users most listened

This episode might not be what you are expecting to hear. There are no biohacks, quick fix, secrets to be young. It’s a lifetime journey of bio optimising your hard and mind to encase you body healing and rejuvenation.

I’m explaining how to do it in the episode.

Key elements that I’m talking about are:

  1. Sleep
  2. Stress management
  3. Fitness (means nutrition & exercise)
  4. Mindset
  5. Relationship with yourself and others

I record this episode beginning od September 2020 facing one of the biggest challenges in my life and at the same time making one of my biggest dream happen. I am also 38 years young at this time and I attached few recent pictures from last month to show that all I’m talking about works!

For some it might be still really young, for other already old.

Being Young is a state of mind.

There are no rules that says you can or cannot do something at certain age. You create those believes. However there are few things that can help you to reframe your believes and I’m talking about them in the podcast.

Enjoy the show!

In this episode I'm talking with Fida, founder of GeoSilica. We uncover benefits of silica supplement, how be successful entrepreneur and how pandemic change her life and approach to business management.
Fida came to Iceland from Palestine as a teenager with big dreams and ambitions. In 2012, she founded GeoSilica together with her team. They started the company with almost no funding, but plenty of passion and drive to succeed. She was inspired by the ravaging power and purity of Iceland and that is our benchmark when developing products with raw and powerful effects, bringing out raw beauty in the process.

GeoSilica develops daily supplements that naturally renews the body from within. By using advanced technology and the minerals found in Iceland's volcanic earth, GeoSilica's products are always 100% natural and pure.

GeoSilica has developed 5 different products. The original signature product PURE is the first product launched in 2015, containing pure Icelandic water and Silica. The product's good review from consumers is what inspired the company to do even better with adding 3 new products to the market in the fall of 2017. RENEW; with added copper and zink to benefit hair, skin and nails, RECOVER; with added magnesium to benefit muscles and nerves and REPAIR; with added manganese to benefit joints and bones. In the summer of 2019 we launched REFOCUS; with added Vitamin D & Iron for the normal function of Mind & Energy. All of the products have no added harmful chemicals and are registered by the Vegan society.
List of research proving silica benefits is really long. For anyone who is interested more in science behind silica supplement take a look on this website:

History of Floating

The first tank was designed in 1954 by John C. Lilly, an American physician and neuroscientist. He designed the tank to study the origins of consciousness by cutting off all external stimuli.

In the 1970s, commercial float tanks were created and began being studied for possible health benefits.

In this episode I will talk about 10 habits to super success. They say practice what you preach. I want to share with you my journey and struggles with this 10 habits. Just because I know then doesn’t mean that it’s easy to implement them. However the more I practice the better results I have.

Please prepare pen and paper and write them down. Yes, now, stop the podcast and go get it. Write down also how you can practice them in the next 7 days.

First you need to define also what success means to you. If it money, health, wealth. Write down 3 things that comes to your mind when you har word success. Don’t think too much or too long just write down.
For me will be love, impact, freedom.
Yes, there are money involved to achieve freedom or bigger impact but I aways starts where I am and don’t complain where I’m not.
So let’s go to hobbit number one.
1. Practice daily affirmations.

I know you heard it many times, maybe you even practice this already or maybe you don’t because you don’t believe in it.
I want you to think a little bit different about affirmations I want to teach you how to embody feeling to your unconscious mind. Practicing affirmations, writing them or even saying out loud if you don’t really believe in them and feel them that they are true doesn’t work. It’s like looking on a picture of Ferrari and pretending it’s real. Fake it until you make it it’s bull shit in my opinion.

2. Measure what you do and improve
Be mindful of what disturb you. Don’t judge yourself, notice, investigate, improve.

3. Smell the leather
If you want to be rich, do things that rich people do. If you want to be fit, do things that fit people do. If you want to be famous do things that famous people do. Even if you are not there or not afford it’s time to do it one a while to kind of starting getting use to it. This a hobbit connected with faking it.

4. Success leaves clues

Model your idols. I’m sure there is someone who you admire and aspire to do similar things. Maybe that’s even me? Hehehe no? Why? Just joking.

5. Convectional wisdom is almost always wrong

Find your teachers, tribe and learn from them.

6. Get out of you comfort zone

7. Have laser beam focus

8. Don’t give a fuck on what they think

Easier said than done. I’m working on it most now.

9. Surround yourself with successful people

10. Take action

So did you write down everything I just said? No? Why? This is an action you need to take. If you are listen to this you want to be successful righ

LInk to sponsor of the episode: savethechildren.org/savekids
6 steps to get unstuck

Life is unfair. Get oft it and stop being a victim.

You need to play a game with you neurochemistry. It’s about how you feel about yourself when you are with yourself.

You have to convince you to believe in you in the first place.

1. Reframe. Realise, forgive

How can you take the worst thing that happen to you and mak it as you best.

2. Own your life

You energy and effort will be reworded with additional skills. Skills have utility and they allows you to do things you couldn’t do before.

According to Jordan Peterson Competency Hierarchy people who biggest competency achieve more.

Build sense on empowerment. Climb leather of mastery.

3. Learn to create new values

Disturb your behavioural pater of bad thoughts.

4. Your new values

Value 1. Self reliance is important for you. It’s always your fault.

Value 2. Growth.

Value 3. Resilience. Toughen the fuck up.

Value 4. Be any-fragile.

5. Create an exciting vision of your future.

I do talk about his in my other podcast Take Control and here is a link to this episode. There are some amazing exercises on visualising your future.

Move towards things you want, and away things you don’t want.

6. Get you mind right

You are a living magnet that attract people, events and idea according to you dominate thought. Be very careful about what you are thinking about.

Cognitive distortions

  1. Filtering to negativity
  2. Polarised thinking - if I’m not perfect I’m horrible
  3. Overgeneralization - I’m bad at one thing there fore in others
  4. Jumping to conclusions - It’s not gonna work
  5. Catastrophizing
  6. Should - thinking that the world should be in certain way
  7. Emotional releasing - emotions don’t make truth
  8. False growth mindset - akord for trying

BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD.

The only thing you can completely control is yourself.

The way to get unstuck is to taking responsibility. Underling that you can change the mechanizm of your brain is functioning by discipline and practice.

Call to action from this episode: recognise you cognitive distortions. Write them down immediately after listen to it.

I’ll tell you mine

Polarised thinking. Often I want to be the best in whatever and it’s really hard to be really the best to be world champion. It doesn’t meant that I’m good enough to do things. I am good enough to make podcast, teach pole dancing, be a health leader. Event tho I’m not the best in the world. And it doesn’t mean I’m horrible in on there things.
- Jumping to conclusions guilty of that, before I start something I can see that it will not work.
- Should - I wish the would should be certain way but it’s not
- Emotional releasing - last few month I learn a lot for to use emotions in my favour but before I was thinking that whatever I feel it’s true. While is not because whatever I feel is just a chemical reaction to circumstances I met.
- False growth mindset. Definitely. I’m pushing, working hard, too hard and expecting results. This is not how it works. Results comes by working smart.
