Kenneth Erskine had a troubled childhood: abandoned by his parents, he was institutionalised when he was very young. When he grew up he became homeless and addicted to drugs. A spate of burglaries turned into a spree of killings. It is believed Erskine murdered between 7 - 11 elderly victims in their homes in the late 1980s. Once caught, he was diagnosed with schizophrenia. But should he ever be released?
