In 2019, Dr. Monique Bell set out to study the experience of Black wine entrepreneurs. The result is Terroir Noir, a collection of insights about the pandemic's impact on business, racism in the wine industry, and common barriers to starting and maintaining a wine business. But before that, Monique was (and still is) curious about the various aspects of wine and the people who make it. On this inaugural episode of Black Wine Stories, Monique shares her journey in wine and her efforts to tell our stories through data.
