Addictions are very real. Alcohol addictions, drug and nicotine addictions have torn lives and families apart. Psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers have worked for decades to treat these addictions that many have used to self-medicate numerous issues and traumas in their lives. And many have achieved sobriety and work very hard to maintain their sobriety.
