Kevin Muir’s mom passed late last week and on this episode our bump music, the music we play coming back to the pod, is from his mother Carol’s play list. Kevin has been on the Pirate Ship since day one adding to the pod in a variety of ways and he wanted to be part of this episode because laughter is the best medicine. We all send our love, prayers and inappropriate jokes to Kevin!
Bill welcomes Matt Reis from BTB and Mark Hillman back and CO-Founder of Comedy at the Carlson Mark Ipalito. Ipalito brings it! He teases Bill about his single life, telling great stories about comics who have come through the club, comics bizarre riders, and a story about one well known star’s bad behavior that Matt witnessed and Matt told the star he was a dick! Bill says he thinks a main reason people become comics is to say whatever they want, but for a while that seemed to change and comics were scared to say somethings. Bill asks Mark if he thinks that is changing? Bill believes it is changing. The gang talk Bills and the fact that one time Bills Quarterback Drew Bledsoe was this week’s Leend of the Game who led the charge onto the field. Bill say Bledsoe had one good game for Buffalo, that is not a legend! Bill plays audio of OJ Simpson from his X account from the Buffalo Bills game where OJ was in a suite. Then another clip from OJ’s X account from a bar at a Buffalo Airport. The guys speculate if OJ was paid to come to Buffalo, not by the Bills, but a rich fan. This episode was recorded at Greg Connor's man cave after Bill and Greg attended the Bills Miami game in Buffalo. Dan, who watched the game on TV, joins and adds things Bill and Greg did not see from the stands. This was a statement game for the Bills and they made a statement winning 48 - 20. Bill and Greg discuss everything from the ride up, tailgating differences on different sides of the stadium, to Greg loudly expressing his opinion on plays. Bill watched the Golden Bachelor and says he is not sure he can watch another episode for two reasons. However, Comedian Doug Phelps texted Bill wanting the podcast to take guesses as to who will be eliminated each week. Bill asks what celebrity would you want to hang out with? Taylor Swift was at the Jets - Chiefs game in New York with Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. Bill wants to hang out with Ryan Reynolds and reminds us Ryan's movie Van Wilder was based on a Rolling Stone article about Comedian Bert Kreischer. Greg says he would never want his every move watched. The guys get a little deep talking about how to overcome obstacles in your life and Greg opens up about being a buisness owner and one of the faces of a buisness. The Bills head to London, England to play the Jacksonville Jaguars next week where Greg will be! The Bills lost a key defensive player Tre White who was injured during the game, so what should or will the Bills do moving forward. Enjoy!

Bill starts by talking about seeing a guy do what Bill says is the ballsiest thing he has seen in a while. Bill and Dan debate should Bill have called the cops, Bill uses what has been referred to as Bill logic as to why he did not call the police. Clay Killian, co-owner and head brewer at Copper Leaf Brewing Company in Pittsford joins the pod. Clay reached out to Bill as a listener and Bill heard beer, so the door was opened. Clay has the guys taste several Copper Leaf’s beers including IPA’s and sours. Bill went down a rabbit hole on drones and has some concerns regarding domestic terrorism. He plays news stories about a man in New Jersey who used a drone to drop dye packs in pools to turn the pools neon green throughout the summer before he was caught. Another news story involves a done dropping things on homeless people, wait ‘till you hear what the “things” were that were dropped. Bill believes this is the work of teenage boys. Clay is a Bills season ticket holder and is surprised that tickets near him are going for over 2 grand a ticket for this Sunday’s Bills Dolphins game in Buffalo! Bill brings up an article in the Athletic about how the Buffalo Bills are treating their alumni players and how the former players are pushing back. Kevin seems to have some off the record information about this, but he will not share. Bill closes with a story about a rich guy who had a stranger board his boat in the middle of the night and is caught on camera in the act! Enjoy!

Matt loves the Dallas Cowboys, so of course Bill asks about their loss yesterday to the lowly Arizona Cardinals, is it concerning or a wake up call of sorts? Matt isn’t sure, but leans toward wake up call of sorts. Taylor Swift being at the Kansas City Chiefs game and clearly with Travis Kelce and his family made headlines beyond the NFL! The writers guild seems to have found an agreement that will end their strike, Alex Coccia who is a freelance producer joins from Colombia where she is filming MTV’s Teen Mom Family Reunion with details. Will the deal hold? Mark claims to not have watched much of the Teen Mom MTV series, but has a lot of questions about specific MTV Teen Mom characters that says otherwise! Matt and Mark tell Bill about the time they were interviewed to be on a restaurant reality show and why it did not happen. Dan said the room was great and he loved that since it is a racino he could see all the scores and highlights like Aaron Judge hitting three home runs. Bill said he just shut it down this weekend and did almost nothing! Bill said he is starting to question his mental health, he is getting a bit burnt out. An unresponsive man was found in a car in the East End Garage in Rochester, Bill wonders how long people may have walked by thinking the guy was taking a nap! Dan said he would knock on the window to see if the person was OK or not. Greg Connors of Connors and Ferris comes on to talk abut the Bills win and their next opponent, the Miami Dolphins who put up 70 points against the Broncos! Bill talks more about his mental health and his underlying anger. He talks about a very personal story and how deeply it has affected him and how those close to him truly have no idea. Bill asks Dan if he would leave it or retrieve it when it comes to former NFL Quarterbacks who want to come back like former NFL MVP Matt Ryan and Carson Wentz. Then Bill plays a news story about a woman who tried to retrieve an apple watch she dropped in an out house and got stuck in the process, both Dan and Bill say they would leave it. A woman made some NCAA football history this weekend, Haley Van Voorhis, a Division III safety, became the first woman non-kicker to play in a NCAA football game. Dan thinks this is great and true meritocracy, because she earned her way on the team! Bill worries about her saftey, but thinks she deserves to play. Racin Randy talks NASCAR fights and Bill says he wants to watch a Hallmark Christmas Movie with Randy and his wife this season! Enjoy!

Bill has never drag raced and he loved it – hitting speeds in excess of 120 mph in the quarter mile in a variety of vehicles. Racin’ Randy joins to promote the final event at his drag stip in South Butler and gives Bill some guff for racing without Randy. Bill asks Randy if he has ever known anyone who keyed a car? Shocking no one, Randy has and almost had it done to his car by a guy over a woman! Bill asks if Randy knows anyone who has keyed a person? Randy does not, so Bill tells the story from a the most recent edition of The Times of Wayne County about a woman keying her significant other! Bill akes Randy’s day teeling him the all new holiday movie line up is out for Hallmark and begins well before Halloween! Peter Monturmarano joins to talk Buffalo Bills who take on the Commanders this Sunday. Peter agres with Bill Ed Oliver has lived up to his contract extension so far this season, but Peter still has some concerns about the Bills, hear them and to see if you agree. Comedian Steve Wrigley does a segement with Bill, he is from New Zealand and has a show Saturday night in the Rickles Room at Comedy at the Carlson. Steve talks about New Zealand, what he loves about America, buying his home for $25,000 and doing most of the work on it himself, his comedy special and how much he loves our area. Musician Joe Burcato joins and immediately makes Bill umcomfortable, which is always fun! Joe talks about Barry Manilow recording a song of his for a Christmas Special and his acoustic performance this Saturday at Pane Vino on the Avenue. Bill gets a bit controversial at the end of the show, but you may find yourself nodding your head in agreement. Enjoy!

Bill talks about attending Kevin’s mom’s calling hours and how he was very dependent on GPS to help get him from a meeting to the funeral home. Bill said we trust GPS more than ourselves and sometimes we shouldn’t listen to outside sources but, our inner guidance system, using an example of a meeting that did not go as planned, but instead of ending it, Bill followed his inner guidance and now there may be a documentary coming! Comedian Doug Phelps is also a diver for Uber, Bill asked if rubber necking from east bound lanes to an accident in west bound lanes is common? Doug said it is and Bill thinks if we can’t handle a distraction going the opposite direction with a barrier in between how can we believe we can handle a phone while driving? Doug and Bill watched the Golden Bachelor. Bill reads the texts Doug sent him earlier this week about the show. Doug breaks down each of the Golden Bachelor contestants as to whether he would try to sleep with them or not! Bill and Doug give their top 5 contestants. Bill talks about Steven Tyler’s fractured larynx and the fact it may end Aerosmith’s career. Dan weighs in with some deeper thoughts on the Bills Miami game and Bill plays a song someone wrote as though they are Taylor Swift after breaking up with Travis Kelce. Dan still believes this whole relationship is manufactured! Bill calls Racin’ Randy to wish him a Be-lated Happy Birthday, talk NASCAR and get some funny Randy-isms and stories. Enjoy!
