- Mean Girls debuted to the top domestic spot with $33.2M across the 4-day weekend in the US ($28M across 3 days) and $6.5M internationally for an opening weekend total of $35M.
- The Beekeeper grossed $19M domestically in its opening weekend, and a further $17M internationally for a worldwide gross of $34M.
- Wonka took 3rd position with $11M domestically this weekend, and crossed the half-billion dollar mark globally.
- Book of Clarence opened to the 9th position in the domestic box office with a $3M gross.
- Soul, Disney’s direct-to-streaming Pixar title of 2020 released in theatres and was 20th at the box office for the weekend, only grossing $557,000.

- Terrifier 3 debuted at number 1 with $18.3M domestically and nearly $5M internationally. On a budget of only $2M, an opening weekend total of $23.1M makes Terrifier 3 likely to be the most profitable movie of the year.
- The Wild Robot grossed another $13.5M domestically, keeping a strong momentum in its 3rd week.
- Joker: Folie a Deux saw an unfortunate 81% drop in the domestic market with only $7M, making for the highest 2nd week drop of a comic book movie.
