How many times have you had an idea that would make your life easier? Jennifer Zuklie did, and gave that idea life, resulting in saving parents time, money and doing their part to save the earth!

She is an entrepreneur, mother, and the founder and CEO of The Swoondle Society, an online member marketplace for trading children’s clothing and accessories. A veteran of the ecommerce industry, Jennifer realized the need for The Swoondle Society between having her daughter and her son. With an abundance of girls’ clothes, Jennifer couldn’t find a practical way to ensure they went to a good home—and began a children’s clothing swap in 2016 with 50 of her Brooklyn-based friends. The idea took off on a larger scale in 2017 when those friends began telling their friends. By 2018, The Swoondle Society was handling thousands of swaps per week.

The Swoondle Society has grown into a national company with a several-person team. Jennifer primarily employs mothers and former creatives looking for a flexible way to reenter the workforce after having kids. Additionally, the company partners with Room to Grow to donate clothing to families in need—and recycles 100% of remaining textiles with Green Tree Textiles. These initiatives contribute to a circular economy and help decrease the amount of clothing ending up in landfills.
