Houston Texans Podcast: 2020 Mock Drafting
04/23/20 • 82 min
Sports aren't dead. They've just morphed into entirely different forms. Stocks are sports, video games are sports, the numbers you track on your iFitness are sports, podcasts are sports, The Way Back is sports, reality television is sports, but one sport reigns supreme over all the others, the 2020 NFL Draft. For three months the regular season has been underway. Twitter threads. Mockdraftable spiderwebs. Youtube sleuthing. Frame 237 throwing motion analysis. And, of course, mock drafts.
This is the last and only mock draft of the year from us here, and then, finally, this weekend, the 2020 NFL Draft begins. I have no idea what we are going to do after that.
Topics include: will Miami take Tua, how many offensive tackles could be selected in the first round, pigtails or pony tails, Houston's 2020 outlook, the run on wide receivers, and if Kansas City will add more scoops to their offensive sundae.
Let’s start the show.

Houston Texans Podcast: 2020 NFL DRAFT INTERIOR Defensive Line Prospects
The Texans need to improve their pass defense in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft. You know this. I know this. And hell, even Bill O'Brien knows this. Last week, here on Battle Red Radio, we discussed the EDGE defenders available in the 2020 NFL Draft, and on this episode, Jordan, Kenneth, and I, discuss the interior defensive line prospects from the 2020 NFL Draft.
Topics include: Bill O'Brien's bizarre safety comment from last week, Derrick Brown or Javon Kinglaw (?), the fast car Neville Gallimore drives real fast, the great player lurking inside of Raekwon Davis, slippery Jordan Elliot, Ross Blacklock's pad level, what is or isn't or could be Justin Madubuike, and interior sleepers.

Houston Texans Podcast: 2020 NFL Draft Day One Review And Day Two Preview
The 2020 NFL Draft went as good as it could go from a I love the Houston Texans perspective. A big run on offensive tackles and wide receivers. Four quarterbacks selected. Cornerbacks scooped off the board. Aside from the expected front seven defenders: Derrick Brown, Javon Kinlaw, K’Lavon Chaisson; this portion of the defense went relatively untouched. Houston is now set up to grab first round front seven talent without having to trade up.
For this episode, Matt, Kenneth, and Jordan (Texans thoughts) review day one and preview day two. Topics include: our favorite selections, time being a flat circle for Aaron Rodgers, if we ever thought Houston would trade up, our #40 desires, and Saturday sleepers.
