Baseball Is Dead Episode 1: WE'RE BACK (Off-Season Recap and Predictions)

Jared and Dallas are BACK and this time they’re bringing along Joey, aka “Baseball Doesn’t Exist.” The guys are on a mission to prove that no matter how many people declare the sport of baseball “dead,” the real fans know that it couldn’t be a more exciting time to start getting into baseball. Jared starts episode 1 of “Baseball Is Dead” by providing some background on his hiatus from podcasting over the last month and a half. He talks about his decision to leave Barstool Sports to join DraftKings and some of the exciting new content plans he has in store for this MLB season. He welcomes Dallas back to the show and introduces Joey, a Braves fan who will bring a much-needed National League perspective to the show. The guys then breakdown some of the major signings and trades that occurred post-lockout and talk about what shocked them, what didn’t, which teams got better and which teams got worse. They cover topics from Carlos Correa signing with the Twins, to Josh Donaldson being paired up with Gerrit Cole in New York, the Braves replacing Freddie Freeman with Matt Olson, and the head-scratching signing of Kris Bryant by the Rockies.
