“...Meanwhile, I can’t be a normal kid, and no one really understands why”. “It hadn’t hit me that... hey, if you don’t speak up this could be the rest of your life”. One of the best kids you’ll ever meet shares his incredibly powerful, and difficult story of living with concussion symptoms as a teenage kid, and more then just the concussion symptoms, the other stuff that comes with it... the anxiety, the identity struggles, adjusting to a new version of yourself. Lots of great insights and stories from Tazzo’s playing days. Including some hard lessons he learned along the way playing the game - including the time his dad was so mad at him he wanted his coach to cut him from the WHL because he didn’t deserve to play, or the time he had to answer the bell with one of the toughest fighters to ever play while playing in the ECHL. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bachockey/message

Rechs opens up about a wild ride in his first head coaching opportunity at the junior level. While he dug the team out from a 2-20 record, brought them back to competitiveness, and relevance he encountered continuous obstacles behind the scenes, many of which things out of his control, and all problems created by people involved in the game for the wrong reasons. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bachockey/message

Ep. 18 — Tyler Drader

BAC Hockey 4 Hope

play

09/18/20 • 42 min

Tyler Drader - Head Coach of SAIT Trojans Men’s Hockey team. Drader was a coach of the year nomination after one of the greatest turn around you’ll ever see in sports, from taking over a junior team that had just set a record for most losses to turning them into a contender the following year. What makes it even more impressive is Drads did this after taking a few years off to coach Timbits - he jokes about being only coach in history to be hired to junior from timbits hockey! Great episode with the SAIT head coach, enjoy! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bachockey/message
