Matt is joined by Jake Nicholson who recently featured on ABC News (see the video and article by clicking here) after he shared footage of some fellow hunters who had a dangerously close experience with a deer aerial culling operation. The operation in South Australia made the news as they were shooting deer out of a helicopter, with a shotgun, and on a property without permission to access. This was also dangerously close to the hunters who were there hunting for deer. Matt and Jake then unpack the SA governments deer aerial culling program that uses shotguns and break down the research document 'Aerial culling feral fallow deer with shotguns improves efficiency and welfare outcomes' that advises it.
